In order to prepare curd shortbread cookies using the recipe below, you will need:
- full-fat cottage cheese (preferably homemade) or curd mass - 200 g;
— butter or margarine – 200 g;
- sugar - 1 cup;
- chicken eggs - 2 pcs.;
- flour - 2 cups;
- vanillin to taste;
- salt on the tip of a teaspoon;
- baking soda on the tip of a teaspoon or baking powder in the amount according to the instructions on the package.

Cooking method

1. First of all it is necessary to carry out some manipulations with cottage cheese, flour and butter. The cottage cheese is rubbed through a sieve or kneaded with a fork so that there are no lumps in it. Sift the flour if necessary. Melt butter or margarine in a water bath.

2. Pastries made from shortcrust pastry have an appetizing golden hue. The dessert turns out crispy, it crumbles slightly. During the first stage of its preparation, which the recipe calls for, beat the eggs with sugar with a whisk until a white, stable foam forms.

3. Gently add melted butter into the foam, continuing to whisk continuously. After this, add flour and cottage cheese. Baking powder for dough, for example, ammonium, salt and vanillin, is mixed with flour so that these components are evenly distributed throughout the dough for cottage cheese cookies.

4. The recipe calls for the shortbread dough to be placed in the refrigerator for 30–40 minutes.

5. The dough removed from the refrigerator is rolled out on parchment into a layer 0.3 cm thick. The oven is heated to 180 degrees.

6. Plastic dough allows you to prepare cookies of the most intricate shapes. It can be cut with a knife or special shapes can be used. In the absence of such, an ordinary glass will do, then shortbread cookies with cottage cheese will be of a classic round shape.

7. The dessert is baked for 45 minutes.

8. The finished treat can be decorated. Dried fruits and nuts go well with cottage cheese. Often the recipe calls for powdered sugar as a decoration. You can make fudge from cocoa or chocolate; the recipe is quite simple.
