Daimler-Benz and Siemens remain the largest in Germany
The newspaper Die Welt published the traditional annual rating of the 500 leading companies in Germany. At the same time, it was distributed over the Internet (address - http://www.welt.de). In the "table of ranks" of German business, there were no special changes compared to last year. Daimler-Benz is still in first place, the company's turnover exceeded DM100 billion and reached DM103 549 million. Siemens also retained its second place. Trading firm Metro slipped from third to seventh place over the year, which allowed last year's fourth, fifth and sixth place holders to move up one point. Most of the other leading German companies have also either kept their positions or taken one step forward or back. Only three enterprises that were not in the top 100 last year did so this year. For some unknown reason (maybe a banal mistake) there is no 76th place in the rating.
