Production
Founded in 1969, the mill is fully integrated across the entire production cycle - from wood harvesting to shipment of finished goods to a customer. For instance, Waste Water Treatment Plant of Mondi Syktyvkar processes over 80 million cubic meters of water annually, including 100% of municipal wastewater from Syktyvkar, Ezhva district, and neighboring industrial companies. Bark boilers at Power Plant burn 100% of bark and wood wastes, the share of green energy in the overall energy balance exceeds 40%. Power Plant covers around 20 percent of the regional demand in electric energy, and it is the only source of heat and warm water for Ezhva district of Syktyvkar with a population of around 60 thousand people.
In 2019 the mill will complete implementation of two strategic investment projects – modernization of Power Plant and Waste Water Treatment Plant. These efforts will result in further improvement of environmental performance of the company.

Sustainable development

Responsible business conduct involves maintaining a balance of environmental, social and economic interests of the enterprise, which makes significant efforts to ensure that the impact of production on air, soil and forest is systematically reduced and becomes minimal in the future.
The production facilities of the plant are of strategic importance for the residents of the Komi Republic. Thus, the water treatment facilities of Mondi SYK process over 80 million cubic meters of water per year, including 100% of wastewater from Syktyvkar, the Ezhvinsky district and nearby industrial enterprises. In the bark boilers of the combined heat and power plant, 100% of the bark and wood production waste is burned, the share of green energy in the total energy balance is at least 40%. The CHPP of the enterprise provides about 20 percent of the region's electricity needs, and is also the only source of heat and hot water for the Ezhvinsky district of Syktyvkar with a population of about 60,000 people.
In 2019, the plant is completing the implementation of two strategic investment projects - the modernization of water treatment facilities and a combined heat and power plant. The result of this work will be an increase in efficiency and improvement of environmentally important indicators of production activities.
Mondi SYK supports the conservation initiatives of the World Wildlife Fund (Russia), cooperates with the Silver Taiga Foundation for Sustainable Development, together with which it works to preserve the biodiversity of the northern (boreal) forests for future generations.
The plant sets an example in the field of conservation of forests of high conservation value in the Komi Republic. ARTICLE 2. LEGAL STATUS OF THE COMPANY
2.1. The Company is a legal entity and owns separate property recorded on its independent balance sheet, can acquire and exercise property and personal non-property rights on its own behalf, incur obligations, be a plaintiff and defendant in court.
2.2. The Company has the right to open and close bank accounts in the Russian Federation and abroad in accordance with the established procedure, as well as to carry out operations on them in accordance with applicable law.
2.3. The Company has a round seal containing its full corporate name in Russian and Komi languages and an indication of its location. The Company has the right to have stamps and letterheads with its name, its own emblem, as well as a duly registered trademark and other means of visual identification.
2.4. The Company shall be liable for its obligations with all its property. The Company is not liable for the obligations of the state and its bodies, as well as its shareholders. ARTICLE 3. PURPOSE AND SUBJECT OF ACTIVITY OF THE COMPANY
3.1. The main purpose of the Company's activities is to make profit.
3.2. The Company has the right to carry out any types of activities that are not prohibited by federal laws, including:
Production and sale of pulp and paper products, as well as related products (pulp, paper, cardboard and other types of goods), performance of work, provision of services;
Production and sale of electrical and thermal energy;
transportation, transport-forwarding and other activities related to the implementation of the transport process;
Implementation of medical, treatment and preventive activities;
Provision of services for social, cultural and household services to the population, as well as sports and recreational activities;
Publishing house of printing products;
Other activities not prohibited by applicable law.
The types of activities subject to licensing are carried out by the Company on the basis of a license.
3.3. To carry out its activities, the Company has the right to:

ARTICLE 4. AUTHORIZED CAPITAL. FUNDS AND NET ASSETS OF THE COMPANY
4.1. The authorized capital of the Company is 387,560,400 (three hundred eighty-seven million five hundred sixty thousand four hundred) rubles. The authorized capital of the Company is made up of the nominal value of shares acquired by shareholders (outstanding shares), namely, 968,901 (nine hundred and sixty eight thousand nine hundred and one) ordinary shares with a par value of 300 (three hundred) rubles each and 322,967 (three hundred and twenty two thousand, nine hundred and sixty seven ) preference shares of type A with a par value of 300 (three hundred) rubles each.

All this plus a complete modernization of two paper machines will allow the company to produce more cardboard and paper products, gradually and further increase output. Thanks to Step, it will be increased by another 20% - up to a million tons per year. SLPK began to produce more energy. Its generation capacity increased by 80 megawatts. At the same time, the new objects themselves are less energy-intensive and belong to the “environment friendly” category - that is, "friendly to nature".
Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin who visited Mondi SYK noted that such major changes in the technologies of timber processing industries in a time of crisis for the world economy is a landmark phenomenon. The new project is important not only for the timber industry, but also for the entire republic and the country.
The most famous product of the company - office paper "Snegurochka" - has become the "Brand of the Year in Russia" four times and is reasonably considered the most popular product in its market segment.
The construction of the plant began in 1963 by the decision of the Council of Ministers of the USSR of 1957. On June 25, 1969, the first cardboard machine was put into operation, and this date is the official birthday of the SYK.
