The features of most fitting systems do not allow you to simultaneously install both micro-ventilation and a step-by-step mechanism. However, as a rule, the extreme position of stepped ventilation approximately corresponds to the thinnest slot, therefore these systems are largely interchangeable.

In addition, to implement the step-by-step opening function, you can install the simplest mechanism - a plastic comb. This part is a gear rack, which is placed on the frame and, when opened, engages with a reciprocal protrusion mounted on the sash (attached under the handle). Outwardly, of course, it does not look as neat as the built-in stepped ventilation mechanism, but it performs its function.

• it can be placed on any frame (wooden, aluminum, plastic);
• it does not encroach on the light transmission of the window, since it does not reduce the amount of incoming light;
• the operating device does not reduce the soundproofing of the double-glazed window;
• fresh air will enter the room around the clock (this is necessary even if it is winter outside);
• when air is injected, drafts are not formed - the air mass is directed to the ceiling (due to this, it will not blow you or any of your loved ones, which means that no one will sacrifice health for the sake of the desire to maintain normal humidity in the room);
• the supply of fresh air does not lead to significant heat loss.

Valve types

To equip double-glazed windows with ventilation valves, the market suggests using wooden, metal or plastic supply products. All this mass can be divided into two groups: manually operated and operating in automatic mode. The first ones are equipped with a special cord, without which it is not very convenient even for a tall person to get to the device located in the upper part of the double-glazed window. The latter require only the initial adjustment of the orientation parameters, and after that the valves themselves open and close as needed.

Pressure-based operation is carried out with the help of a special curtain equipped with an upper suspension. In strong winds, the curtain creeps up and reduces the amount of air entering the room. Moisture-based operation depends on the readings of a special sensor that contains nylon tapes. When wet, they force the valve to open; when the tapes dry, the reverse process occurs.

I strongly do not advise interfering with the operation of a device designed to work in automatic mode.- there is a high risk of freezing the room and putting the valve out of action. The developers of the product have provided for everything, so you need to relax and resign from the responsibility for fresh air in the room. The device itself will determine when the moment comes for air exchange between the room and the street.

In order not to miss the selection of a valve for an already standing window, choose a product with technical parameters that are as close as possible to the similar characteristics of the window.

The device of the supply ventilation device is simple, as they say, outrageously, therefore, periodic manipulations to clean the valve from dust and dirt are unlikely to cause difficulties.

All you need to do is to remove the main layer of dirt with a vacuum cleaner once a year or two. The surface of the case will have to be wiped with a damp cloth a little more often, focusing on the presence or absence of traces of flies and other types of pollution.

I do not recommend using anything wetter than a sanitary napkin, because washing or abundant wetting of the valve can result in its failure. It is impossible to use aggressive chemicals and even ordinary water to wet the wipes. When carrying out repair work in a room where there is a ventilation valve on the window, it must be covered with something.

Everyone can install a ventilation valve

Installation of the ventilation valve does not require professionalism- it is enough to be able to properly use a screwdriver and a clerical knife, and have 15 minutes of free time.

Before starting the installation, remove everything from the window sill to save the life of all objects lying there and to exclude the possibility of inadvertent damage to any part of the double-glazed window.

First, attach the product to the profile and make cuts on the sealing rubber with a knife, marking the borders of the valve. Deepen the incisions, and then stretch the resulting piece of gum.

Insert the dowels into the holes for the screws, attach the valve to the sash on them, and then screw all three hardware into them. Insert the rubber seals supplied with the product between the fasteners.

Installation

Why plastic windows became popular? They are an insurmountable barrier to street dust and moisture. But due to their technical features that ensure tightness, windows interfere, or rather exclude the possibility of natural air conditioning of the room. You observe the consequences of this already a couple of days after the final installation of the double-glazed window into the frame: the glass of the structure begins to become covered with condensate, and puddles begin to grow on the windowsill. Soon, mold will begin to appear on the slopes if you do not solve this problem in some drastic way.

Regular control over ventilation is not possible for everyone - we are too busy with everyday affairs to open the window hourly to launch another portion of fresh air. And in winter, you don’t really want to perform such procedures when it’s frosty at twenty degrees outside and the wind is north.

By installing a valve on the window, you solve many problems:

• you do not need to quit current affairs and be distracted by the airing procedure;
• the intake of a fresh portion of air is carried out when the atmosphere in the room contains an excess percentage of moisture;
• ventilation takes place in a safe mode for everyone.

What is an inlet valve?

If your window “weeps” with tears of condensate, and the slopes bloom with mold spots, then there is only one solution: urgently adjust the air conditioning of the room.

Then you will quickly get rid of the manifestations of excess moisture. Where does it come from in a room with heating and a reliable roof?

Here are the main sources of moisture:

• a resting person releases about 40 g of fluid per hour;
• a working person releases about 90 g of fluid per hour;
• one medium-sized flower pot is a source of 10 g of water per hour;
• all containers with water per hour deliver up to 200 g of liquid to the atmosphere of the room;
• when cooking, drying wet clothes, wet cleaning, the atmosphere of the apartment receives up to 1000 g of water every hour.

Just one small valve on the double-glazed window will easily relieve the atmosphere of the room from excessive moisture reserves. If he can’t cope, then either his installation was carried out in violation of the technology, or you bought a fake.

How is it mounted?

Each home master will cope with the installation of the supply valve in about ten minutes. Of the auxiliary tools, you only need a screwdriver, and a clerical knife. Naturally, the valve is complete (with 350 mm rubber sealing cords).

In order not to mess up when removing the rubber in the sash frame, you first need to take measurements and set the markings where the valve will stand.

Having freed the area from the seal, put the valve in this place first, and then the seal from the kit for the product. Yes, you only need to equip a sash that can be moved.

Having dealt with the area of ​​\u200b\u200bthe seal that needs to be removed, carefully remove it. At this point, the groove is now clearly visible, where you need to insert three plugs from the valve. Then remove the upper strip of double-sided tape from the device and attach it with a sticky area to the place where there are already plugs.

Using small self-tapping screws, secure the valve by screwing them into the plugs. Try gently moving the device. If it sits securely, then you can glue the sealing rubber.

Terms of use

Each ventilation valve to the plastic window is an adjustable device. When located in the extreme right position, it passes air. Physically, this can be determined by bringing the hand to the hole - the skin should feel the movement of air. To close the valve, it must be moved all the way to the left position.
