Purpose

Fire-fighting normally open (fire-retarding) valves KLOP-1 are designed to block the spread of fire and combustion products through air ducts, shafts and channels of ventilation and air conditioning systems of buildings and structures for various purposes. KLOP-1 smoke dampers and normally closed dampers are used as smoke ventilation dampers. Valves are used in accordance with the requirements of SNiP 41-01-2008, SNiP 21-01-97* and territorial building codes.

KLOP-1 dampers are not subject to installation in rooms of categories A and B due to explosion and fire hazard. In these rooms, KLOP-1 dampers are installed in an explosion-proof design.

Valves are made of rectangular section and round section.

Fire resistance limit of valves:
Klop-1(60)

  • in the mode of normally open (fire-retardant) and normally closed - EI 60;
  • in smoke mode - E 60.
Klop-1(90)
  • in the mode of normally open (fire-retardant) and normally closed - EI 90;
  • in smoke mode - E 90.
KLOP-1 dampers are produced only in the "channel" type with two flanges and external actuator placement. Valves KLOP-1 of round section also available with nipple connection (nipple valves). The body of the round valves is made of galvanized steel.

Normally open (NO) valves KLOP-1 are manufactured in various modifications depending on the type of drive:

  • round valves with electromagnetic drive are manufactured without thermal lock;
  • with BELIMO electromechanical actuators (type BF or BLF) in combination with (or without) a 72 °C thermal cut-out device;
  • with spring drive and thermal lock at 72°C or 141°C, with or without microswitches.
The dampers KLOP-1(60) and KLOP-1(90) for smoke and normally closed (NC) are produced with an electromagnetic actuator without a thermal lock or reversible actuators BELIMO type BLE or BE (for dampers large sizes). These dampers can also be fitted with BELIMO electromechanical actuators with a return spring type BF or BLF without TRU.

KLOP-1 dampers are operable in any spatial orientation.

Installation

When designing and installing valves in ventilation systems, one should take into account the convenience of access to the valve actuator and service hatches for devices inside the valve.

It is recommended to install KLOP-3 dampers in large-section air ducts crossing the enclosing structures of ventilation chambers with high-capacity fans installed in them.

The body of the round valves is made of galvanized steel.

Execution

Type of climatic version of valves - U3 according to GOST 15150-69. The dampers can be installed indoors with an ambient temperature of -30 °C to +40 °C in the absence of direct exposure to atmospheric precipitation and moisture condensation on the damper.

The environment must be explosion-proof, not containing aggressive vapors and gases in concentrations that destroy metals, paint coatings and electrical insulation.

When installing normally open (fire-retarding) dampers outside walls (ceilings), external fire protection should be applied to the edge of the casing protecting the damper drive, and in accordance with the requirements of SNiP 41-01-2008 (clause 7.11.1, Note 1) should provide a limit fire resistance not less than the required fire resistance limit of the barrier.

In accordance with SNiP, valves can be installed from the side of room A. In these cases, the valve installation diagrams are depicted "mirror" with respect to building structure, that is, the protective cover must be located in the structure or external fire protection from the side of room A.

In accordance with the results of many years of climatic tests of valves carried out for the conditions of their operation at the interface between media and different temperatures and humidity, this scheme is recommended for macroclimatic regions with a temperate climate.

When installing dampers in the outer building envelope, additional devices are provided to prevent atmospheric precipitation from entering the damper, for example, louvered grilles, visors, etc.

For installation in air ducts with a diameter of 100, 125 and 140 mm, instead of KLOP ® -1 dampers with tubular or plate transitions, KLOP ® -2 dampers of the corresponding diameter without transitions can be manufactured.

Valves "transport" execution

Valves have design features, taking into account the specifics of operating conditions at transport facilities and can be used in ventilation and air conditioning systems of rolling stock of railway transport. The valves have been tested for vibration resistance and impact.

Valves for clean rooms

Valves are manufactured rectangular section and round section (only nipple version).

In the manufacture of the valve body, damper and casing, stainless steel special purpose. Valves can be used in food, pharmaceutical and microelectronic industries.
Main specifications valves for special purposes are similar to the characteristics of valves KLOP-1.

Marking features

Upon purchase of valves, technical passports with a stamp seal are issued of blue color in the upper right corner of the front cover. Covers of passports are made of thick colored paper, each type of valve has its own color. In the upper part, a brand name with the manufacturer's logo (flame - red, an inscription, and a stylized image of black smoke) made of metallized foil imitating gold should be pasted. Selective varnishing in the form of the manufacturer's logo is made diagonally.

Each technical passport has its own number, which is placed in the center of the passport. The number of the technical passport coincides with the account number, according to which this batch of products is released. For example: 15/6. If several technical passports are required for a batch of valves according to one invoice, then they are numbered in serial numbers with a hyphen from the invoice number. For example: 15/6-1, 15/6-2, etc.

On the copy of the certificate placed in the technical passport fire safety the blue stamp of the manufacturer and the signature of the authorized person are affixed.

Valve serial number labels are affixed to the valve bodies. Each of them has its own color: KLOP®-1 - blue. The labels, as well as the security mark, are made of metallized foil. Lettering on the main background golden color, on the horizontal red stripe at the bottom of the label - black. Diagonally (along the entire field) there is selective varnishing in the form of the manufacturer's logo.

Additionally, labels are affixed to the valve body indicating functional purpose valve (NO, NC, D) and fire resistance. In addition, solenoid actuated valves are labeled with a wiring diagram for the solenoid and microswitches, as well as labels indicating the damper position (“open”, “closed”).

Fire-fighting normally open (fire-retarding) dampers KLOP®-1 are designed to block the spread of fire and combustion products through air ducts, shafts and channels of ventilation and air conditioning systems of buildings and structures for various purposes. Normally closed KLOP®-1 dampers are used as dampers for mechanical supply and exhaust smoke ventilation, the dampers can also be used as smoke dampers. Valves are used in accordance with regulatory requirements. KLOP®-1 dampers are not subject to installation in rooms of categories A and B due to explosion and fire hazard. In these rooms, KLOP®-1 or KLOP®-2 dampers in an explosion-proof design are installed.

Fire resistance limit of valves KLOP®-1(60/90)

In normally open (fire-retardant) damper mode:

  • when the drive is located on the side of thermal exposure - EI 60/90;
  • when the drive is located on the side opposite to the thermal effect - EI 60/90;
  • when installing the damper on the duct section outside the enclosing
  • building structure with a rated fire resistance limit - EI 60/90;

- in the normally closed valve mode - EI 60/90;

– in smoke valve mode - E 60/90.

When deciding on the use of fire dampers, it is advisable to take into account the advantages of the new generation of KLOP®-2 dampers with improved characteristics (see the KLOP®-2 section). In accordance with the entry in the NO certificates, dampers KLP®-1 (60/90) can be installed both in a fire-resistant building structure (fire barrier) and outside it in a section of a fire-resistant air duct, regardless of the direction of possible thermal effects on their structures. In accordance with the requirement of clause 6.11 of SP 7.13130.2013, this allows the installation of dampers on either side of the fire barrier, regardless of the location of the fire in relation to this barrier. Compliance with the requirement of clause 6.11 is ensured by the presence of a casing that protects the drive of HO valves both when they are installed in a fire-resistant building structure, and when valves are installed in an air duct section outside this structure.

Normally open (NO) valves KLOP®-1 are manufactured in various modifications depending on the type of drive:

– with an electromagnetic drive in combination with a thermal lock at 72°C (by special order at 93 or 141°C);

– with BELIMO electromechanical actuators type BFL, BFN or BF (for larger valves) in combination with a thermal disconnector at 72°C (on special order at 93 or 141°C);

Normally closed (NC) KLP®-1 dampers are produced with an electromagnetic actuator without a thermal lock or BELIMO reversible actuators of the BLE, BEN, BEE or BE type (for large valves). Drive characteristics and electrical circuits their connections are shown on pages 78-83.

KLOP®-1 dampers are produced of rectangular section only of the "channel" type with two flanges. The valve actuator is installed outside the housing. The valve body is made of cold rolled carbon steel and painted. By special order, the body can be made of stainless steel. The body and damper of such valves are made of stainless steel (spanish “stainless steel”), other components and structural elements are made of carbon steel with anticorrosive zinc coating. The valve flaps are filled with thermal insulation.

KLOP®-1 dampers are operable in any spatial orientation. When designing and installing valves in ventilation systems, it is recommended to take into account the convenience of access to the valve actuator and inspection hatches in its body. When installing KLOP®-1 dampers in large-section air ducts in areas located behind the place of a sharp change in the direction of the air flow, for example, behind 90° bends, it is recommended to ensure the open position of the damper damper in the plane of flow turn or to use KLOP®-3 dampers. Type of climatic modification of valves - U3 in accordance with GOST 15150-69. The dampers can be installed indoors with air temperatures from -30°C to +40°C, where fluctuations in temperature and air humidity are significantly less than outside the building. The environment must be explosion-proof, not containing aggressive vapors and gases in concentrations that destroy metals, paintwork and electrical insulation.

Fire damper KLOP-1 in the market of domestic fire dampers is perhaps one of the most famous and eminent.

Its certification and development of mass production was carried out in 1999, and the KLOP-1 valve became the first domestic certified fire damper, and the name KLOP-1 became a registered trademark. For some time, the Klop-1 valve was the only fire damper domestic production. Well-organized manufacturer marketing and work with design organizations made the KLP valve popular, often found in project documentation. Probably, this contributed to the fact that the name KLP-1 has become a household name, you may encounter such situations when the customer, when applying for valves, says: "I need to buy KLP-1", although the specific name of the valve is not indicated in his documentation and the valve Klop-1 can be replaced by others fire dampers with similar settings.

The fire damper KLOP-1 is installed in the channels of general ventilation and air conditioning with mechanical draft induction. Fire-retarding (normally open valves) prevent the spread of fire through these channels, and smoke (normally closed valves) prevent the spread or removal of smoke.

The fire damper KLOP-1 is produced in the form of two modifications:

Klop-1(60);

Klop-1(90);

The difference between them lies in the limits of fire resistance.

Klop-1 (60) has a fire resistance limit of 60 minutes (1 hour).

Klop-1 (90) has a fire resistance limit of 90 minutes (1.5 hours).

The KLOP-1 damper can perform the functions of both a fire damper (damper in the "normally open" position) and a smoke exhaust valve - (damper in the "normally closed" position).

The valve body can be made both round and rectangular (square) section.

Klop-1 is intended for installation only in the channel. The drive that transfers the damper flap from the initial state to the working state is located outside the damper. To control the position of the damper, a special inspection hatch is provided on the valve. It is used when an air duct is connected to the valve on both sides and it is not possible to look inside the already installed valve through the flow area.

The body of the KLOP-1 valve is made of carbon (black) steel, subsequently painted. This KLOP-1 differs from the valve KLOP-2, the body of which is made of galvanized steel.

The damper of rectangular (square) section is equipped on both sides with flanges through which it is attached to the ventilation duct.

The round section damper can be made both on flanges and for nipple mounting in the ventilation duct.

Fire damper KLOP-1 is completed the following types actuators for damper flap control:

Electromechanical actuator BELIMO type BF(24), BF(220) or BLF(24), BLF(220) with a return spring with a supply voltage of 24V or 220V;

Electromagnetic EM (220), EM (24) or EM (12) - electromagnetic drive with a supply voltage of 12V, 24V or 220V;

ТЗ - spring drive with thermal lock;

ТЗ(М) - spring drive with thermal lock and microswitches;

When choosing an actuator for fire dampers, consider that:

Part 2 Art. 138 of Federal Law No. 123-FZ prohibits the use of TZ and TZ(M) type actuators on NO fire dampers in the Russian Federation.

The use of MV type actuators for NC and smoke dampers in the Russian Federation is contrary to clause 7.18 of SP 7.13130.2009.

The price of fire dampers KLOP-1, KLOP-2, KLOP-3, KOM-1, KDM-2 and KLAD-2 are given below.

The price of a fire damper with dimensions other than those indicated in the table is determined by the larger side. For example, the price of a KLOP-1 valve with dimensions of 400x200 is determined as the price of a 400x400 valve. The price of a KLOP-2 valve with dimensions of 600x350 is determined as the price of a valve with dimensions of 600x600, etc.
