What to take with you on a trip. What you need to take with you to the sea - a list of clothes, medicines and cosmetics

I love to pack a suitcase - I know how to neatly fold all things and do not forget the important things.

I know how to protect my suitcase from thieves. I'll tell you how to do the same.

How to choose a suitcase

The best suitcase is small, hard and has four wheels.

It is inconvenient to carry a large suitcase: it weighs a lot on its own and does not fit on luggage racks in buses and trains. You are unlikely to fill it with things and purchases on a regular trip. And if you score, then pay the airline for the advantage.

Things are safer in a hard suitcase. It will not wrinkle when loaded onto an aircraft, it is not afraid of blows. In a soft suitcase, I constantly crumpled cans and packages were torn. In hard, I boldly drive wine bottles - everything flies.

Often installed on suitcases code lock, which captures the pawls of lightning. It's called TSA Lock. A thief can't open your suitcase without knowing the code, but airport security can, they have a special key. I do not recommend using this lock. In fact, at many airports there are no keys to the TSA Lock, and the security service opens the suitcase ballpoint pen, damaging the lightning ( here's how it's done). Thieves do the same.

This is how I'm going on a trip

Copies of documents

I am afraid of losing my documents while traveling. Therefore, I do not carry them with me, but leave them at the hotel. However, sometimes documents are needed: they are asked when you buy alcohol, or the police are sometimes interested.

For such cases, I make color copies. I copy the main page of the passport and the page with the visa. I put them in my wallet and always carry them with me.

Printed insurance

Some are content email from an insurance company with a PDF of the policy. But I print insurance and put it in my passport. If they bring me in an ambulance unconscious, the doctors will first find the policy in my wallet and contact the insurance company themselves.

Rope-roulette

This small castle the size of two matchboxes, with lanyard and code. It is convenient for them to fasten luggage in the train, shop, room.

In a hostel, such a thing will save a couple of euros. Money will be asked for the padlock to lock things in a personal locker, and you have your own.

When is a roulette cable useful?

You have arrived in Berlin and you are taking the city train for an hour to get home. The luggage was put on a special shelf, among other people's suitcases. In order not to worry and not to look back after each stop, fasten it with a cable to the handrail. So no one will take your suitcase.

Or you are going to buy water in the supermarket, but it is inconvenient to roll your suitcase in the store. Clip it near cash registers or storage compartments.

But remember that a roulette cable is a weak lock. Given enough time, the thief will either pick up the code or cut through the cable. Do not park your suitcase for a couple of hours on some busy street.

Spare card and cash

I'm paranoid - I'm afraid to be in a foreign country, not only without a passport, but also without money. To prevent this from happening, I put my mini wallet with a credit card in my suitcase.

I put a hundred dollars in there just in case. I also put a piece of paper with the bank's support phone number - I'll call him to.

If my wallet is stolen, I can always take a taxi to the police, the embassy or the airport. I'll pay with a credit card for food, buy a new plane ticket, or withdraw cash as a last resort. But this is only as a last resort - for withdrawing money from credit card high interest will immediately run.

What else to take with you

Interesting book and chocolate- V hand luggage. The book helps to relax aerophobes like me. Have a chocolate snack if you have to wait a long time for dinner or don't want to spend money on a cafe.

All liquids it is better to carry in luggage - otherwise they will be taken away at the security control.

Thread and needle. I advise you to pack them in an empty Matchbox and put in a bag with wires. It will help if the trousers are torn or the button comes off. And it’s also convenient to change the SIM card in an iPhone with a needle.

A couple of simple souvenirs. Postcards from your hometown, magnets and even subway tokens - give random acquaintances that you like, or hand them to the owners of the apartment with Airbnb. I prepare special traveler business cards for every big trip.

What to take with you on a trip

  1. Copies of documents.
  2. Printed insurance.
  3. Cable-roulette with a lock.
  4. Mini first aid kit.
  5. Clothes in cases.
  6. Wire bag.
  7. Spare card and cash.
  8. Souvenirs for cute fellow travelers.

Airplane socks. I read it in some magazine a long time ago, tried it, and now we fly only in them. The bottom line is to take off your shoes on the plane, and so that the legs don’t blow and the neighbors don’t smell - put on fluffy spacious cozy socks.

Ordinary socks. I mentioned for the sake of a chip - on small trips I usually try to take socks that are close to the stage of dying, and without regrets I throw them away on a trip. Saves not weight, but volume.

UPD this should have been at the very beginning, but I didn't realize it. And because of this, some of the commentators had a clear misunderstanding. So I am correcting:

This list is for two adults, Europe (city \ beach), suitcase - 1 pc, I don’t know the size of the suitcase in centimeters (if necessary, I can measure it), but I know that if necessary, I take it as hand luggage in most airlines. The weight turns out to be decent - more than 10 kg, usually in the region of 12-15, this is along with clothes (which I deliberately did not indicate on the list). Also, I didn’t indicate mandatory things like “money-documents-insurance” in the list, because the post, as it were, is not about that :-) In 95 percent of cases we check in a suitcase, so I was not puzzled by the issue of optimization for hand luggage. But with some effort, I think that you can push it by hand, with the exception of a knife and a nail file.

Not mine, but I take out interesting from the comments just in case:
- disinfectant spray / gel for hands
- thin plastic raincoat
- compact ashtray
- thread-needles (travel set)
- Activated carbon- ? (unienzyme, as I understand it, it already contains, as I understand it)
- aftershave balm/lotion

If you are planning to plunge into the unforgettable world of travel with your child, you need to thoroughly prepare in advance. In order for your child to feel comfortable and cozy, he needs a large number of things. But of course, you don’t need to take the entire children’s room with you.

When going on a trip, parents need to consider the needs little man and prepare for the trip carefully and in advance. You can learn about what you need to take when traveling with a child, and what you can buy on the spot, from this article.

At what age should a child be taken on vacation? There is no single answer to this question. There are many different nuances in a particular situation in a particular family. About whether to take the child with you on a trip or leave it with grandmothers.

About what is best to travel on, what to have with you in the article "".

The very first item is:

  • Documentation

Passport for a child to travel abroad +, if necessary, a visa + medical insurance. You can also take a photocopy of your birth certificate with you. If one of the parents is flying with the child, permission from the other parent may be required.

It is better to make 2 copies of all documents. We leave the first copy with relatives or close people at home, we take the second with us. At the same time, we keep copies and originals in different places.

  • Meals on the road

You can bring baby porridge with you fast food, jar purees (fruit, vegetable, meat). Snacks. Definitely water. If the child is on breastfeeding, there are no questions. If on mixtures, you need to take mixtures with you and think about how you will cook them and what to use for this.

  • Vehicle for a child. Stroller + sling.

The stroller is great to use when walking, for example, in the park or for long walks along the embankment. But on crowded streets or on sandy beach it's great to move around with a sling (about the types of slings). Of course, try to carry the baby on yourself in advance, see if he can fall asleep in the sling.

If you are flying by plane, you should find out in advance the rules for transporting wheelchairs. Most often, the stroller is picked up immediately before departure, which is very convenient.

  • First aid kit on the road

About what medicines to take when traveling with a child in detail.

  • Hygiene products

  1. Diapers. It is advisable to take as many diapers as the number of hours the trip will last + a few just in case. It is worth knowing in advance whether you can buy the brand and size of diapers you use locally, as well as how much it will cost you.
  2. Baby wipes.
  3. Disposable diapers. It is convenient to use on the road when changing a diaper.
  4. Diaper. You can cover a sleeping baby or cover up while feeding.
  5. Reusable diaper or waterproof diaper. For those babies who already do without a diaper, but still sometimes can “not reach the potty”.
  6. Baby soap.
  7. Baby shampoo.
  8. Children's Toothbrush and baby paste.
  9. Children's nail scissors.
  10. Potty (for older children). There is a special travel potty (with folding legs and replaceable bags).
  11. Sun cream with a high sun protection filter. This cream is applied after each bath and an aerosol for burns.

  • Cloth

Someone takes 2 sets of things with them per day, someone manages with only a few sets, and the rest they buy or wash during their holidays. You should find out in advance whether it is possible to do laundry at the place where you are going to stay. It is important to take clothes (depending on where you plan to go), underwear, shoes, and a hat.

Keep in mind that the amount of clothing also depends on the number of days you travel, as well as the age and personality of your child.

Advice. If you are traveling with a child on an airplane, take a few baby things with you in your hand luggage. Among these things, it is good to have a sweatshirt (if it is cold, you can put on or cover a sleeping child)

So let's get started:

  1. 3-4 changes of underwear (panties, socks, T-shirts);
  2. Several short/long sleeve bodysuits;
  3. Something suitable for the following conditions: light, light-colored long-sleeved gauze-type cotton clothing that does not fit tightly to the body, is well ventilated and protects from direct sunlight.
  4. Pajamas;
  5. Panama hat with wide brim, cap;
  6. T-shirts and T-shirts, shorts, dresses (for girls);
  7. Pants and a hooded sweatshirt with a zipper (you can also catch cold weather);
  8. windbreaker;
  9. Raincoat;
  10. Warm socks.
  • Shoes

  1. sandals,
  2. sneakers,
  3. Beach shoes,
  4. textile slippers.
  • Toys

Take a few favorite toys to help your child feel comfortable in an unfamiliar environment. And I answered the question of how to entertain a child on the road.

Also at sea, children need an inflatable ring, various molds for playing with sand and water. The children's pool worked well. Some children are afraid to go into the sea, but in the pool they splash with pleasure. Just take all these accessories with you or buy on the spot, it's up to you.

Unforgettably:

  • Camera + several memory cards + charger;
  • Phone + charger (enable roaming or buy a special card for calls on the spot).

Remember, you are the one who shows the world to your child. Enjoy joint trips, give joy and love to your children, and in return you will get the eyes of an interested little traveler shining with happiness.

If you have something to add to the list, share in the comments to the article. I will be grateful.

P.S. In order to avoid such an unpleasant phenomenon as heat stroke in a child, it is important to read in advance what heat stroke is, its symptoms, prevention and treatment.

Quite often, the most unpleasant point of travel is long and burdensome fees. Or fast and stupid. I know those who are going on a trip with taste for a week, thinking through each pin, and those who are going on the day of departure, forgetting half of it. Did you recognize yourself?

I have been preparing for the trip for years. Every time after returning from a trip, starting from a trip to the Crimea in 1998, I wrote "Lists of things for the road based on the results of the last trip." And going next time on the road, I always used the previous list. She opened a notepad and with a pen put a tick in front of the item packed in luggage.
A lot has accumulated over the past 15 years. In any case, the brown notebook is over. The lists differ from each other because the trips themselves differ: the number and set of things for a three-week trip differs from the list of things for two- and three-day trips. Also, a trip by train, bus and car involves slightly different sets and distributions of things. What is distribution? This is packing things in different bags: luggage (which will be removed and left untouched during the move to the destination), bag (s) with you (what you will use on the trip).

Advertising - club support

Due to the nature of my work, I traveled quite a lot. Over time, numerous lists turned into one standard list of things that you can get together in 1 hour, provided that you are traveling with a small family (here, of course, you can’t do it in an hour) and provided that the clothes are washed and ironed in the closet, only get a stack. Because "work" with clothes is the most time-consuming. We always keep clothes (and shoes!) in combat (clean!) readiness if you are an avid traveler.
So, I present to you a simple and "quick" list of things to collect on a trip (trip, road). Prepare a bag (suitcase), print out the list, fold things and put a mark in front of each item.
P.S. Care and hygiene products can be packed together in one bag. The same goes for drugs. Try to arrange items in such a way that close ones for their intended purpose are located together, so it will be convenient to find them and unpack them on the spot.

Food

I do not write a list of food, because it is very individual. You can take fruits, nuts, dryers, cookies, sweets, a couple of packages of cold cuts, bread, as well as plenty of water and various drinks like Lipton green tea.
We prefer to eat in a cafe so that we can feed the child with soup, and we ourselves do not sit on dry food. Travel food should be tasty and safe.

This list is quite general - both for those traveling by car and those traveling by train. For those who travel by bus, you need to take more extra things but I will make a separate post about that.
For those who travel with children, read the posts:

Have a good suitcase mood and fast fees !!!

Any vacation trip is accompanied by a collection process. We decided to make this task easier and, together with our regular readers, have compiled a list of things to do on vacation for the whole family. It is focused on a standard Russian family, in which a woman will pack a suitcase.

Men can relax and take only money and passport with them 🙂

It is better to start packing your suitcase 2-3 days before departure, as there is always something in the wardrobe that has drastically decreased in size over Last year gone out of fashion or just disappeared somewhere.

Documentation

The main thing on your list is passports and money. Everything else can be bought, but without a passport or money, the vacation will be hopelessly ruined.

Without documents, your vacation can be covered with a copper basin already at the airport, so passports and money should always be in your attention not only during the preparations, but throughout the entire vacation. So let's start with this:

  • Passports (check the validity in advance, at least 6 months from the date of entry into the country of destination);
  • Photocopies of documents (in case of loss and not to carry the originals with you);
  • Tickets (train or plane);
  • Vouchers (contract with a travel agency);
  • Driving license (yours and his, if you suddenly want to rent a car);
  • Bank cards and money;
  • Banking access (pin generator, password card, etc.)
  • Medical insurance;

It is better to break the money into several parts and divide between family members, and one bank card can be put in luggage. In this case, if you lose your wallet, you will not be left penniless in your pocket.

Cloth

The hardest part of packing a suitcase is picking out clothes. We like to take the whole wardrobe with us and by any means we convince ourselves that everything will definitely come in handy. In fact, apart from your other half, no one will appreciate your outfits. Therefore, we recommend taking clothes at the rate of one outfit for 2 days.

For a standard 7-10 day seaside holiday, we recommend that you include the following items.

  • print list

List for women and girls

  • Swimsuit 1-2 pieces;
  • Pareo, tunic - one at a time;
  • Skirts (short and long), shorts - 1 pc.;
  • Jeans or trousers - 1 pc.;
  • T-shirts, t-shirts - 3-4 pieces;
  • Blouse (smart) - 1 pc.;
  • Dress (cocktail) - 1 piece;
  • Briefs — 1 pc. per day;
  • Bra - 2 pcs.;
  • Night pajamas - 1 pc.;
  • Sandals - 1-2 pcs. (including elegant ones);
  • Sandals without a heel or ballet flats 1-2 pairs;
  • Slippers for the beach or slates 1 pair;
  • Warm blouse, cardigan or windbreaker (for the evening) 1 pc.;
  • A light shirt with sleeves (if you suddenly get burned), but better sunscreen- 2 pcs. (to have enough);
  • Pants / breeches of a sports type (or tracksuit) - 1 pc.;
  • Headdress (1-2 pieces);

A sports outfit can come in handy on some excursions and for morning wars for a place in the sun, when you need to throw a towel on a sunbed by the sea at 7:30 in the morning :).

When choosing clothes, preference should be given to light fabrics made from natural threads, or linen, and preferably cotton. In such clothes you will feel comfortable in a hot climate.

List for a man

  • Light trousers (to walk in a hotel, on excursions, around the city) - 2 pcs.;
  • Classic trousers (to go to a restaurant or to an evening program at a hotel) - 1 pc.;
  • Shorts - 2 pcs.;
  • Swimming trunks - 2 pcs.;
  • T-shirts and T-shirts, 0.75 pcs. per day.;

  • Panties - 1 pc. per day.;
  • Sandals - 1 pc.;
  • Slates - 1 pc.;
  • Summer shoes 1 pc.;
  • Headwear 1 piece;

Men's clothing is also better to take from natural, light fabrics. A dark shirt can come in handy for going to a party or a disco.

The eternal problem: how to put all unnecessary things in one suitcase? 🙂

List for a child

  • T-shirts 1.5 pcs. per day (soiling 2 during the day is not a problem for a child);
  • Panties;
  • Shorts, skirts;
  • socks;
  • Cap or panama (2 pcs.);
  • 2 bathing suits (one dries, we swim in the other);
  • Cotton clothing with long sleeves (in case the child gets burned);
  • Clothes for the evening;
  • Warm clothes (if you are not traveling during the hot season);
  • Sandals;
  • Sneakers for excursions;
  • Pencils, notebook, coloring books, etc. (what to do with a child on the road);
  • Sleeves for the pool (if you can't swim);

To ergonomically pack things in a suitcase, you will need vacuum bags and a vacuum cleaner. Please note that a vacuum cleaner will also be required during the return collection. Otherwise, you just won’t be able to stuff all the clothes into a suitcase 🙂

  • Washcloth;

Technique and more

In the bustle of collecting clothes, cosmetics and hygiene, do not forget about the most important thing - a camera or a smartphone with a camera. After all, thanks to these technical creations, then there will be something to remember and show to friends at work.

The same goes for Russian-language books, which, oh, how will be missed on the beach. So we suggest adding these devices and ideas to your list (sometimes a little crazy 🙂)

  • Coffee (not everywhere it is the same as at home);
  • Umbrella or plastic raincoat (if there is a chance of rain);
  • Plastic hangers (for clothes);
  • Plastic box for food (you can take a snack on the plane and carry fresh fruit to the beach);

  • Camera or camera (both are possible);
  • Monopod (stick) for selfie (if needed);
  • Tripod for the camera;

With creative packing and packing, one suitcase can fit a lot more than you might think. Watch the video! And remember, this is a backpack. And you have a whole suitcase!
