How to make a snow globe with your own hands - there is nothing easier! Craft a snow globe with your own hands for the new year in kindergarten and school - a master class

DIY snow globe

Before the New Year, as before any holiday, the question first of all arises of what to give to relatives, friends and relatives. Also important is the preparation and original meeting of the New Year. The most relevant surprises are certainly considered. Just such a gift we will make in this master class. Recently, the so-called snow globes have been especially popular, which you can not only buy, but also make yourself and at home. DIY snow globe will bring a lot of pleasure to both children and adults.

"Winter in the Bank". Materials and tools:

  • baked white, brown, yellow, green, black, cherry;
  • liquid polymer clay;
  • white acrylic paint;
  • glycerol;
  • hard brush;
  • foil;
  • waterproof silicone sealant;
  • epoxy adhesive;
  • toothpicks;
  • small scissors;
  • knife for polymer clay;
  • Toothbrush;
  • universal stack;
  • small capacity;
  • glass jar with screw cap;
  • sequins.
Stages of creation DIY snow globe:

1. We form a ball from foil, press it a little to the working surface and cover it with a jar on top to check if it fits freely into it. It is necessary that between the edges of the ball and the walls of the jar there is a distance equal to about 3-4 mm. If the ball fits tightly into the jar, then it may not fit there after we cover it with clay. And then ours will be doomed to failure.

2. So, we made sure that the foil ball passes freely through the neck of the can. Now we knead the white clay and make a 2mm thick cake out of it. We cover the ball with a cake, wrap its edges along the bottom of the ball and squeeze it well with our hands. We need the white clay to completely cover the entire foil. Now we put our snow hill on the center of the lid and again cover it with a jar from above. The hill should still fit easily into the neck of the jar.

3. We take out the hill from the jar and start tapping on its surface from all sides with a toothbrush.

4. Let's start making a house. To do this, mix white clay with brown to get a light brown color. We form the basis for the house from light brown clay rectangular shape. Its size depends on what size house you want to make. IN this case the dimensions of the rectangle are 2*1.5*1.5 cm. Using the edge of a knife, we make horizontal indentations on each side of the rectangle.

5. From the upper side of the base of the house, cut off the corners with a knife.

6. Cut out the roof. To do this, roll out brown clay into a layer 0.2 cm thick and cut out a flat rectangle with a width from it.

7. Put the brown rectangle across on the edge of the knife and bend in half.

8. We lower the roof from the knife and lay it on top of the house. From little piece brown clay we form a small pipe, apply it to the roof and pierce it in the center with a toothpick or a thin stack.

9. Roll out the yellow clay thinly and cut out two small squares for the windows. We stick them on the sides of the house and in front under the roof. We sculpt a small door from cherry clay and also stick it to the house.

10. Mix light brown clay with a piece of cherry to get red-brown clay. We roll it into a bundle 1 mm thick and lay out the contours of the windows from it.

15. Mix white clay with hands with liquid clay until viscous. Then put it in a small container and add more liquid clay, mix thoroughly with a spatula until the consistency of a thick cream.

16. Insert the fence stakes into the recesses on the hill, stick a snowman next to it. Apply the resulting "cream" of white clay on top of the roof of the house to make it look like snow, spread a little on the tops of the trees and on the side branches, as well as on the tops of the fence stakes. Now bake the product in the oven in accordance with the instructions for the clay.

17. Now let's start collecting snowball with your own hands. inner side wipe the covers and the bottom of the product with cotton wool and alcohol. Mix both epoxy resin components in the required proportion (see instructions for the adhesive) and glue the product to the center of the lid. Leave for several hours until the glue is completely dry (from 2 to 24 hours, see the curing time in the instructions).

18. Once the adhesive has set, squeeze a small amount of aquarium silicone sealant under the rim of the cap. Wait until it starts to harden a bit. And it won't stick anymore.

19. In the meantime, pour water mixed with glycerin in proportions of 1 to 1 into the jar. Pour the liquid not to the very brim. Pour glitter or crushed foam into a jar. Cover the jar with a decorative lid, screw it on tightly, turn it upside down and make sure that no water flows out.

20. At the bottom of the jar, apply white acrylic paint using a hard brush with tapping movements to make it look like snow.

21. Now it remains only to decorate the lid so that our do-it-yourself snow globe turns out to be even more elegant. You can wrap it with beautiful ribbons or rain, stick cones, Christmas decorations or anything else that your fantasy tells you.

How to make a "Snow globe" with your own hands step by step with a photo

Yunusova Alsu Rifkhatovna, educator, MBDOU " Kindergarten No. 177", Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan
Description: A master class of a simple "snow globe" in execution. Great option New Year's crafts. Suitable for making older children preschool age. Useful application baby food jars.
The purpose of the master class: creating a New Year's "snow" ball with your own hands.
Tasks: to acquaint teachers and parents with the method of making a wonderful "snow globe". Show the steps and suggest the secrets of manufacturing.

New Year is a time of miracles and magic! Waiting for the New Year and preparing for it is probably even more interesting than the holiday itself. In kindergartens, teachers and children, in homes, children and parents are immersed in the process of creating new year mood. They decorate rooms, watch movies and cartoons, buy gifts and toys, interior decorations such as snow globes... Snow globes have long been one of the main symbols of the New Year. And do-it-yourself snow globes are symbols of creativity, magic and New Year's mood at the same time!

To make a snow globe you need:
a jar of baby food, sequins and sequins, a toy (this time my daughter and I chose Olaf the snowman), super glue, glycerin, water, rhinestones and ribbon or braid to decorate the jar, a hot glue gun.

Ball manufacturing progress
First of all, you need to see how the toy will look inside the jar, is it too small.

The photo shows that the toy is less than half of the jar, so I placed a lid of hand cream under the toy, thereby raising the snowman above the middle. You can choose toys higher, there will be less hassle.

Next, I glued the stand and the toy with super glue. Glue used a lot, one might say, flooded the edges. I left the lid with the toy to dry overnight. Hint: Even though it's super glue, when it's thick it takes a long time to dry.

The next step is to prepare a liquid where sparkles and sequins will float. The proportion of water and glycerin is about 50% to 50%. I always pour by eye. Keeping the proportion exactly in milliliters is not so important. Sequins are light, they fall for some time even in water.

Before adding glycerin to the water, I added sparkles, sequins and stirred well so that they were saturated with water.

The turn of glycerin has come. When adding it, you need to take into account the volume of the toy and the stand (in my case).

I did a couple of samples.

The main thing is that when the lid of the jar with a toy is tightly closed, the liquid should be exactly along the edge so that there is no air left in the jar.

It remains to decorate the edges of the jar. I used golden braid and rhinestones to match the color of the braid. They were glued on with hot glue.

The snow globe is ready))

Such snow globes can be not only snowy, but also so glamorous with princesses))))

Last year, my kids and I made these fun souvenirs.

On New Year's Eve, it is customary to give gifts to each other. Usually they give valuable things to relatives, and inexpensive but nice souvenirs to friends and acquaintances. Such a present may well be a glass ball. It's filled clear liquid, and inside it is a New Year's or winter composition. When the ball is shaken, snow rises from below. Sometimes it magically shimmers in the light with different lights. Such a souvenir is nice to give. And yes, it's easy to do it yourself.

Materials and tools for work

To work on a souvenir in the form of a glass ball with snow, you will not need so many materials, if you wish, you can find everything in your home:

  • It is necessary to choose directly the container from transparent material, best rounded shape. Usually they use jars with lids or wine glasses, as in the case shown in the master class.
  • To create tightness, you can take a lid from a jar of cosmetic cream that is suitable in size.
  • Waterproof glue or silicone sealant - for fixing the composition and processing the junction of the lid with the edge of the container.
  • Figures for the composition are selected by the master own will and taste.
  • To simulate snow under your feet, you can use white plasticine.

Sparkles act as snowflakes flying from the sky. However, they do not have to be bought - you can make sparkles from Christmas tree rain, ordinary foil or candy wrappers. They also decorate the bottom of the lid with sparkles - remember how fabulously the snow flickers under your feet on New Year's Eve?

You will need scissors to cut glitter.

On a note. Fill the container with distilled water. Experts recommend adding glycerin to the water - then the snow will settle smoothly down. Although the latter is not necessary.

The choice of figures for the composition

Usually for glass balls use houses, Christmas trees, toy Santa Claus, a snowman. Such figures can be found in a box with Christmas decorations. Only before use, close the hole in the toy. To do this, you can use plasticine or polymer clay.

You can also sculpt the figurines yourself. Polymer clay is perfect for this. By the way, the bag with gifts in this composition is just made by hand.

First, the bag itself is molded. Then a tie is made from a thin sausage. If a one-color mass is used, then after the figure dries, it is painted. Paints need to be taken waterproof - they will be stained glass paints or nail polish.

Someone uses miniature toys from kinder surprises for composition. This is also an option! Such a souvenir will be especially romantic if the figurine (albeit not New Year's) is associated with some kind of memory.

And the figurine can also be a symbol of the year, as in this proposed case, for example, a dog. True, the poodle in the original had a circus yellow cap. But as soon as it was painted red with nail polish, a simple toy figurine turned into a New Year's one.

And this is how an interesting composition turned out: instead of Santa Claus - a cute poodle with a whole bag of gifts!

Let's start creating a snow globe

Step 1:

We glue our poodle to the bottom of the lid.

Step 2:

We fasten a bag next to it with glue.

This workpiece should be dried well so that trouble does not happen during assembly.

Step 3:

At this time, you can prepare sparkles. This is a rather painstaking and boring business - you need to cut the foil very finely.

Step 4:

When the dog and the bag are stuck to the bottom of the lid, you can imitate snow with plasticine by sprinkling it with sparkles.

Step 5:

Pour water into the container (if desired - with the addition of a tablespoon of glycerin), pour glitter and artificial snow.

Step 6:

We cover the filled container with a lid with the composition. Keeping in mind the law of Archimedes, it is better to perform this procedure in a bowl or over a sink, since the liquid displaced by the composition will spill out.

Step 7:

The junction of the lid and container must be smeared with glue or sealant.

There's a lot ahead public holidays and you want to somehow surprise your loved ones with unusual gifts. Consider how to make a snow globe with your own hands at home.

With your own hands, with a great desire, you can make a beautiful and stylish New Year's snow globe from a jar with your own hands. In this material, we will give several master classes, after which there will be no more questions about how to make a snow globe without glycerin with your own hands or using glycerin.

Separately, I would like to emphasize the fact that many people think that it is difficult to make a ball with snow inside with their own hands. In fact, there are not only no difficulties, but the whole process of crafts is quite simple and understandable. The presence of glycerin in the composition of the original components should not confuse you. This substance can be bought at any pharmacy without a prescription for a penny, it is not difficult to work with this substance.

Simple and easy

To create such a ball, you will need a jar with a well-twisted lid, that is, the vessel as a result, after closing, must be airtight and not lose this tightness during use. Additionally, to protect against leakage, it is recommended to glue the thread of the finished craft.

As decorations inside the jar, you can use Christmas toys, figures of Santa Claus, Snow Maiden or an angel. Houses and trees look especially beautiful with falling snow. The glue needs to be waterproof, they will need to glue the selected figures to the lid of the jar.

As for the snow, without which it is impossible to imagine christmas ball with your own hands from a jar, then to simulate it, you can simply take artificial snow, sparkles, or even crushed white plastic. Glycerin in this craft is needed so that the snow falls slowly, and not all at once. The more glycerin is diluted in the water, the higher the viscosity of the water will be and the snow will fall more slowly.

Advice! If the snowflakes in your craft are large, then you need to take a large amount of glycerin. For a 400 ml jar, 100 ml of glycerin will be enough. But it is recommended to add glycerin slowly and each time check how much this amount of this substance changes precisely the speed of your snow fall.

As for water for crafts, it is best to take distilled water if the ball is given as a gift or if you plan to store it for a long time. Otherwise, just tap water will do, the main thing is that there is no excess sediment in it (for this, water should be additionally defended). Work is recommended to be carried out in disposable gloves.

About how to make a snow globe, the specific assembly process and step by step photos, we discuss later in this article. You need to take about an hour to work, try to do everything according to the instructions, so that the craft turns out beautiful the first time.

I propose to make a version of the snow globe, which you probably saw on the shelves of the store.
A small round glass jar (100-300 ml) is well suited for such a ball. Depending on what kind of holiday you have ahead, you can pick up small figurines or figurines. The figures from under the eggs in Kinder look good. My daughter always selects figures that are repeated for this. And especially for the New Year, you can do it yourself.

An integral part of this craft is glycerin, it will help keep small sequins in the water. You can buy glycerin at a pharmacy.

Well, and, of course, many different sequins or glitter are needed in this work.
Save some time, call your children and start collecting all the elements to make a snow globe.

What is the snow globe "Angel" made of:

- water;
- glycerin;
- a glass jar with a lid;
- glass pebbles for decoration;
- figurine;
- acrylic paint;
- sequins;
- cosmetic glitter;
- glue gun.

How to make a snow globe from a jar

When choosing a figurine for a jar, take one that is clearly visible and occupies at least half of the future ball. In my case, this is an angel, well suited for a gift to a loved one.

When making a snow globe from a jar with your own hands, always use clean water, passed through a filter, mix it with glycerin (in a proportional ratio, the amount of water to glycerin will be 2: 1).
Combine water with glycerin in a container, stir well.

The lid of the jar can be painted with a brush lubricated in acrylic paint if its color does not suit you. Take only acrylic paint, it dries quickly and smears your hands. To make the figurine a little higher, you can glue glass pebbles or something else on the lid to help elevate it.

Glue the angel figurine onto the pebbles with a glue gun or other strong glue after drying.

Pour different sequins and glitter into a clean jar, you can also use very small beads.

Pour the liquid into the jar almost to the top, stir the sparkles.

Now take the next step responsibly. Lubricate the neck of the jar with glue, and tighten the lid tightly.

Let the glue dry well for 15-25 minutes, and you can shake and flip your snow globe from the Angel can. You can also decorate the lid, paint it and glue a beautiful fabric.

And together with the children you can do.

This is how you can make a snow globe with your own hands. Difficulties in this process, how to make a snow globe, should not arise. Just follow the instructions, prepare everything right away necessary materials and tools. When the cabin is already filled, then inside the ball you can create more complex winter compositions.

Happy holiday!

Sincerely, Elbi

Tree in the bank. You have probably seen such christmas toys: a glass ball filled with liquid, and inside there is some kind of snow-covered panorama, a house or a tree, and there is an imitation of snowfall. Something similar can be done with your own hands.
Let's call the project "Christmas tree in a bank", well, it's just that I will have a Christmas tree in the bank, and maybe you have something else.

For the project we need:
1. A jar with a lid.
2. Distilled water.
3. Glycerin (sold in any pharmacy).
4. Ceramic or plastic figurines of animals, trees and figurines of people.
5. Artificial snow crumbly or sparkles.
6. Epoxy resin and hardener (you can buy a kit in the store).
7. Sandpaper.

First of all, you need to make sure that the jar is clean, you can, if there is, take a rounded jar now a lot different forms, I will have a conical jar. Next, you need to glue the figures, in my case, the Christmas tree to the bottom of the lid. We clean the bottom sandpaper for better adhesion and glue epoxy resin herringbone. The resin is resistant to water and will last a long time, although the smell from it is specific, but nothing, it will disappear.

We fill the jar itself with distilled water (do not fill the jar to the top). Be sure to add a little glycerin to the water, just a little bit (although I don’t know what kind of glycerin you will have, add a little, if necessary, then add more). Glycerin changes the viscosity and density of water, it will suspend our sparkles, our artificial snow, prevent them from falling to the bottom and guarantee the snowfall effect to our toy. Now we add our sparkles, or artificial snow in a jar (very small is not necessary good effect from large sequins).

Then we screw the lid with our Christmas tree, turn the jar over and shake well. Everything, a Christmas tree in a jar - it's snowing.
Can be given to a toy additional design install on a pedestal, for example, a plank in the form of a saw cut. Add to that a couple of figurines of animals or fairy-tale characters. The lid can also be decorated, painted or pasted over with something, it is desirable that it be possible to open it, all of a sudden you decide to modify the toy, and that’s basically it.
