1. First you need to make sure that the surface of the disk is even. This stage is best left to specialists who have special equipment for detecting irregularities on disks and straightening them.

9. After completing the painting work in one or more colors and completely drying the surface of the disc, varnish is applied to it. When using an acrylic composition, car enthusiasts will not have to face such problems. Painting car wheels using acrylic composition also has disadvantages. These include low resistance to exposure environment.

Primer
The degreased and cleaned surface must be primed. To do this, you need to start applying the primer first to the inner surface of the product, and then move on to outer part.

To ensure that the repair (painting) of discs is carried out efficiently, try not to rush. The primer must be applied evenly, while holding the container with liquid at a distance of 25-30 cm from the surface. After you have applied the primer, let the disc dry and repeat the procedure (2-3 coats will be enough). In order not to wait long after each application of primer, you can use a regular hair dryer. Painting and varnishing
Before using varnish and paint, carefully read the instructions for use of these materials, since the drying time of liquids may vary depending on the manufacturer.
Dried and primed diks must be placed on polyethylene so that during painting, dust and dirt do not stick to them. The technology for applying paint is the same as for primer - we start with inside products and then move on to the outer part. Apply 2-3 layers of paint, leaving the surface to dry for 15 minutes after each application. After that, wait 20-25 minutes and use the varnish. After the first application of varnish, it is necessary to check the surface of the discs for unevenness. If you find them, then go over them with fine sandpaper. Next, all that remains is to apply the final layer of varnish and wait until the product is completely dry (6-7 days). This completes the restoration of the discs.

Primer
After the surface is prepared, we move on to the next stage of work - priming. Before doing this, do not forget to degrease the cleaned surface with a solvent. We begin to apply the primer first from the inner surface of the disk, then move to the outer surface. Before spraying, do not forget to shake the can thoroughly, and repeat this procedure from time to time. Work slowly, making sure that the primer is evenly applied to the prepared surface. Keep the can of primer at a distance of 25-30 cm from the surface. Let the surface dry thoroughly and apply another coat or two, allowing time to dry. To make the drying process go faster, you need to consider airflow. A hair dryer or, in extreme cases, your wife’s regular hair dryer is suitable for this. In any case, it is better to start painting the next day so that the primer is completely dry.
Painting and varnishing
Well, the surface of the disc is primed and dried, which means you can proceed directly to painting and varnishing. It is advisable to choose paint and varnish from the same manufacturer and read the instructions before use. The technology of these processes is similar to the priming procedure. It is better to paint on a spread piece of polyethylene or fabric to avoid dust getting on the surface to be painted. Apply 2-3 layers of paint at intervals of 10-15 minutes and 2 layers of clear varnish at the same interval. After applying the first coat of varnish, check the surface for unevenness and, if necessary, sand with sandpaper or abrasive paste. Wait about a week for the painted and varnished disc to dry completely. Polish the finished disc with a special polish - this is not necessary, but it is very effective.
