Instructions for making a frame with your own hands are as follows:
- under the right dimensions taking into account the required angle;
- apply baguette glue to the ends of the corner cuts and fold the structure together;
- after the frame has dried, small gaps at the joints are filled with adhesive mass and leveled;
- apply two layers to the frame acrylic paint so that in the end the original white color does not show through;
- we mount the TV on the wall and attach the finished frame to it;
- With reverse side mark the perimeter of the panel;
- to the back side of the frame along the line of the marked perimeter we glue polyurethane trimmings, a baguette that will serve as clamps;
- after the glue dries, we put the finished structure on the TV.
Important: The advantage of polyurethane construction is negligible weight, but it must be remembered that such a construction is fragile and should be handled with extreme care.
A similar design can be made from wood. For example, instead of polyurethane, you can use. Such skirting boards can still be found in some hardware stores.
To work with wood, instead of the usual baguette glue, we use "liquid nails". Unfortunately the weight wooden product will be significantly more than the weight of the polyurethane product, but this disadvantage is compensated by the greater strength of the frame.

Measure the maximum width, height and thickness of the TV with the attached mounting bracket. Slightly increase the depth of the frame to change the angle of inclination, if the design of the bracket allows this.
The TV is attached to the wall with a bracket, and the frame performs only a decorative function. When calculating the dimensions of the frame, make sure that its parts do not cover the remote control sensors.
Now make a frame
Note. The frame is assembled from composite profiles. When cutting parts A, B, C and D from profile blanks, add length allowances 25 mm more than the width and height of the TV. This will allow you to have a supply of material to fit the parts to the final length.
1. Taking a workpiece with a thickness of 16 and a width of at least 127 mm, mill a rounding with a radius of 16 mm along one edge. Saw off a 16 mm strip for quarter bead A and repeat these operations three more times.
- Cut out four blanks with a section of 19 × 70 mm for wide fillets (B). From 19mm plywood, cut two strips measuring 76x1220m for the guides you will need in the next step.
- Raise the disc saw machine up to a height of 10 mm (maximum groove depth). Stick a strip of masking tape across the saw table liner so that the edge of the tape just touches the blade teeth. Turning the head of the cross (angular) stop at an angle of 57 °, press one of the plywood strips against it and move it to the saw blade of the contact area. Draw a short line along the leading edge of the plywood (photo A). Then draw a second line at a distance of 6 mm from the disk (photo B), align the guide strip along this line and fix both ends. With this indentation, a 6 mm flat section of the profile is created on a wide fillet B (Fig. 1).
- Lower saw blade below the surface of the saw table. Lay one of the blanks B next to the fixed guide and press it with the second plywood strip. The workpiece should slide freely on the saw table, but not move from side to side. Fix the ends of the second guide strip. Then, increasing the saw blade before the next pass by no more than 2 mm, cut out a fillet 10 mm deep on four blanks (photo C).
- After sawing the fillets to the specified depth, level the concave surface with a scraper or sandpaper (photo D).
Brief advice. Make a profile sanding pad out of hard foam. Give it a rough shape that matches the profile of the fillet and stick on the sandpaper.
- On a 19 mm blank, cut a fillet with a radius of 13 mm along one edge, then saw off a strip 35 mm wide for a narrow fillet C. Make three more of these fillets and cut out four outer rails D of the specified section (Fig. 1).
- Sand down sandpaper No. 220 all surfaces that will remain visible after the assembly of the composite profiles. Glue together a quarter bead L, a wide fillet B, a narrow fillet C and an outer rail D for each of the four profile blanks (Fig. 1), carefully removing the squeezed out excess glue.
- When the glue dries, file the bevels at the ends of the blanks, giving them the final length so that the distance between the heels of the bevels is 5 mm less height or TV width. Glue the frame and fix (photo E).
- The walls of the box E are attached to the back side frames A-D with 13 mm indent around the perimeter. The length of the vertical walls must be 26 mm less than the height assembled frame(Fig. 2). (Make the horizontal walls 52mm shorter than the width of the frame. Drill holes or make cutouts in the bottom wall so that the sound of the speakers is not muffled. Sand the sides of the box with #220 sandpaper, then glue them to the back of the frame. Note: If necessary, make one wall cutout for power cord and other wires.
Finishing and mounting the frame for the TV
1. Apply a finishing coat to the finished frame A-E. We used Zarteak natural stain no. 108 to even out the cherry parts and then applied three coats of water based polyurethane.
2. Cut out the wall plate F, the length of which corresponds to the distance between the vertical walls of the box E. Attach the mounting bracket to the wall, aligning it horizontally, and hang the TV. Then install the wall plate and frame (photo F-H).
