For example, a compressor after being hit during transportation can fly off its mounts or warp. This can lead either to its failure or to more noisy operation during operation. Do you need it?

I want to make a reservation right away that not all models of refrigerators have such shortcomings. On many, the fasteners are made strong, and many of these decorative panels do not exist at all. But you, as a buyer, should be ready for everything. Therefore, I focus on this fact.
I specifically marked the place on the horse of the groove for the shelf, which you need to pay attention to. It is in these places that plastic damage often occurs. It is practically impossible to eliminate such a defect, and it is a mechanical damage, which means that it is not guaranteed. Of course, this will not affect the main operation of the refrigerator, but you must admit that it is very unpleasant.
And, of course, do not forget to inspect the refrigerator itself at the time of damage or cracks in the plastic.
By the way, when you inspect the refrigerator inside, sniff. It should smell like plastic, not any other foreign odors. Suddenly, your new refrigerator is no longer new, and it has already been sold to someone once. Then they returned it, repaired it, but they hide this fact. I can say from experience that the smell of food, if they have already been in the refrigerator, is very difficult to remove. If any chemical means succeed, then these same means will leave their smell unusual for a new refrigerator. Be carefull!

So you can demand or ask that you connect your refrigerator to an outlet. After that, walk around the store for about twenty minutes and check if it has started to freeze. Of course, in such a short period of time the refrigerator will not pick up the operating temperature, but it will definitely be seen whether it freezes or not. If the refrigerator works on the no-frost system, then it will be noticeably colder inside than outside. If using a drip system, then frost will begin to form on the back wall of the refrigeration compartment, the same in the freezer compartment. If you do not notice any changes after 20 minutes, then the "Danger" button should work. Something is wrong! Wait another 20 minutes, and after that, if there are no signs of work, then feel free to refuse such a refrigerator.
