Firstly, it was a huge stress for me to go out and say something in front of an audience, even if it consists of 4 people that I know.

Sincere confession. When I first came to these courses, I was terrified. After the first speech (self-presentation), I was shocked by the quality of the speech (very poor, although it seemed to be an easy topic) and by the negative and abundant feedback that I was given. One of the topics of our free classes is speech skills . The development of speech skills is a mandatory aspect of the preparation of speakers. The voice is the main instrument of speech of a person of any profession. Actors, presenters, lawyers, managers work a lot on the production of their voices. Work on the production of voice includes work on diction, timbre, intonation. The mastery of speech technique is practiced at trainings in voice production by performing certain exercises. A well-delivered speech is a guarantee successful communication.
In addition, we perform various exercises. For example, speech exercises , they differ depending on many factors: profession, age, social status. Exercises for staging speech in adults are distinguished by a thorough study of the power of the voice. Speech lessons for people of various professions are individual. We offer individual speech staging exercises to develop public speaking skills.
One of the directions of our classes in oratory, without which not a single lesson takes place, orthoepic norms of the Russian language . Compliance with the orthoepic norms of the Russian language is a necessary aspect of the culture of colloquial speech. Orthoepic norms include norms of stress and pronunciation norms. Errors in stress are widespread not only in the speech of students, but also often found in the speech of civil servants.
We also address issues lexical norms of the Russian language . The norms of the modern Russian language include different types. One of the types of norms is the lexical norm, which is associated with the use of a word in its correct lexical meaning. The lexical meaning of the word is contained in the explanatory dictionary. In Russian, there is often a violation of the lexical norm. Mistakes such as tautology, pleonasm, incorrect use of a paronym, phraseological combination lead to the fact that the understanding of the meaning of the statement is violated.
