Technoelast in a roll

Description

Technoelast is a rolled material that is resistant to biological destruction and has high waterproofing properties. The manufacturing technology consists of double-sided application of a special water-resistant composition onto a durable, flexible base made of polyester fiber or fiberglass. They use modified bitumen, to which SBS thermoplastic is added.

SBS is a polymer material (artificial rubber), which has high functional characteristics. It allows bitumen to maintain elasticity when low temperatures, whereby waterproofing coating does not crack in cold weather.

The polymer-bitumen composition includes fillers - dolomite, talc, etc. The outer layer on the back side is a polymer film that protects the material from sticking when stored in a roll. The film melts during the installation of the flooring. The top layer can also be a film (this allows you to create a durable multi-layer waterproofing carpet) or a protective mineral coating is used - fine or coarse-grained, for which sand, slate, etc. are used. with the addition of a binder.

Structure Technoelast

Purpose

The use of the material is associated with the protection of structures from the destructive effects of moisture. Technoelast waterproofs:

  • building construction various types(walls, floors, installation connections);
  • surfaces in direct contact with moisture (basements, foundations, swimming pools);
  • all types of roofing systems (pitched, flat, including exploitable ones, “green”, etc.).

The reliable and easy-to-install material allows you to fuse a waterproofing carpet, which 100% protects structures from moisture, water vapor, condensation, and gas penetration. The installation of such waterproofing is allowed in any region with any climate, taking into account the current standards of SNiP 23-01-99.

TCH

Technoelast TKP is a material designed for high loads. Suitable for installation of waterproofing protection of underground structures (basements, foundations). When installing roofs on pitched and flat roofs can be used without additional lining materials. It is distinguished by its strength and durability, is vapor-proof, and is laid in a perfectly even sheet.

Underground or underwater structures, foundations. Can be used absolutely anywhere Russian Federation, as it has excellent low-temperature characteristics.

Technoelast is multifunctional, SBS-modified, it is undoubtedly one of the leaders in reliability and durability.

Production of Technoelast

A polymer-bitumen binder is applied to a polyester or fiberglass base. It consists of bitumen, filler and technological additives.

Thus, a multilayer material is formed, which necessarily has a base in the middle, covered on both sides with a bitumen-polymer mixture.

Along the edges there are upper and lower protective layers, which are used as a polymer film and coarse-grained and fine-grained toppings.

The components and the final result of the manufactured product may differ depending on the modification.

If the technology for producing and storing technoelast is violated, the topping may crumble and the insulating properties of the material may be impaired.

Technoelast refers to waterproofing and roofing roll materials of increased reliability. It is applicable in construction in almost any climatic conditions(including in the far north).

Technoelast: the main brands and their differences

Depending on the scope of application, protective coating and base component, there are the following grades of Technoelast material:

  1. EPP – polyester base, polymer film as protective layers. Four-millimeter material ensures durability and confidence even in adverse conditions chemical conditions. The achieved strength, elasticity and durability make Technoelast EPP a premium material.
  2. EKP - the basis for this brand is non-woven polyester fabric with coarse-grained mineral powder and a protective polymer film. Technoelast EKP is very popular and is used for objects in increased requirements– bridges, tunnels.
  3. TKP – frame fiberglass fabric with coarse-grained coating and polymer film. Due to its high tensile strength (at least 800/900 N/mm), Technoelast TKP is used on loaded surfaces.
  4. HPP - the reinforcing base of the material is fiberglass, the protection is a polymer film. The small thickness and manufacturing method do not allow the use of Technoelast on surfaces that are subject to loads.

Technoelast: operating technology

Technoelast is easy to install, does not require additional equipment and can be produced in limited or confined spaces. Remove the protective film from the material, lay it on the prepared surface and roll it with a roller so that it sticks. Optimal temperature laying is more than five degrees, otherwise the room or base is heated.

Probably the only drawback of the Technoelast material is its price. But quality doesn't come cheap. And after a couple of years of service, every consumer understands that he once made the right choice.

Comparison of TechnoNIKOL EPP adhesive waterproofing with penetrating type coating waterproofing - Maxsil Super

Today, the most common types of waterproofing (in particular those related to foundations) include two types:

  1. Coating waterproofing, which includes the following varieties:
    • Penetrating (capillary moisture cutoff);
    • Rigid (provides internal or outer part waterproof);
    • Elastic (coating that is elastic and waterproof).
  2. Fused (adhesive) waterproofing, which are rolls of fiberglass, fiberglass or polyester fiber coated with bitumen-polymer binder.

To compare the advantages and disadvantages of these types of materials for foundation waterproofing, consider the following

  • As coating waterproofing Let's take a penetrating composition for applying a waterproof coating for concrete, brick, cement mortar and brickwork - MAXSEAL SUPER®, companies DRIZORO S.A. You can also consider more cheap material MAXSEAL
  • As built-up (adhesive) waterproofing take a waterproofing roll material Technoelast EPP, companies TechnoNIKOL.

MAXSEAL SUPER® (MAXIL SUPER®), DRIZORO S.A.

MAXSIL SUPER is a mixture of cements and special additives, as well as carefully selected fillers and special organic and inorganic additives.

Before application it is necessary to prepare the surface. No special primers are required. The surface just needs to be clean, free of paint, loose particles, grease, traces of stripping agent, dust, gypsum plaster etc. Ideally, washing with water under pressure using a “Kärcher” type installation. For application MAXSIL SUPER complete curing of concrete is not required.

The material is laid on both freshly laid and set concrete mixture.

Preparing the mixture produced as follows:

  1. In a container containing 6.5-7.5 liters of water, gradually stirring, add MAXSIL SUPER in proportion: 1 bag (25 kg) - for approximately 6.5-7.5 liters of water.
  2. Mix with a low-speed drill until a smooth, thick, creamy paste is obtained (mix for approximately one minute).
  3. To check the consistency, lower the brush to half the length of its bristles. If the brush does not sink or fall to one side, but, nevertheless, it can be used without special effort move in mass, then the desired consistency is achieved.

When installing waterproofing, apply the mixture with a brush with nylon bristles in two layers. This application allows the material to penetrate into the pore structure of concrete to a depth of 2 to 20 cm (depending on the porosity of the concrete). Apply a thick layer that forms a continuous and uniform coating, do not smear it as you would with paint, apply it in one direction only.

The second coat should be applied in the opposite direction of the first. The total material consumption for a two-layer coating should be 2-2.5 kg.

But, because we are talking about waterproofing the foundation, we will need to first sprinkle the dry mixture onto a moistened preparatory screed (lean concrete) immediately before laying the concrete for the foundation slab. The consumption is the same - 2-2.5 kg of dry mixture per 1 m2.

This approach will allow the penetrating material MAXSIL SUPER penetrate, closing the pores of the concrete of both the screed and the foundation slab.

This will allow (over time) to create a kind of single screed-slab structure, impermeable to water.

As you can see, the device for waterproofing the foundation with material MAXSIL SUPER, technically does not amount to no difficulties.

And now, for comparison, let's look at the Technoelast EPP material, from the TechnoNIKOL company, used for the same task - foundation waterproofing.

Technoelast EPP is a polymer-modified, fused-to-roll waterproofing material.

Technoelast is produced by double-sided application of a bitumen-polymer binder consisting of bitumen and styrene-butadiene thermoplastic elastomer onto a glass or polyester base. It has a polyethylene coating on both sides, which performs a protective function and prevents the bitumen composition from sticking together during transportation. Fine-grained powder and polymer film are used as a protective layer.

Before installation, the surface must be thoroughly cleaned and prepared.

Surface preparation consists of cleaning from dirt and dust (dust removal), as well as sealing cement mortar cracks and potholes.

Also, for high-quality deposition, the cleaned surface must be treated with bitumen primer at a rate from 300 to 500 g. per 1 m2.

Before installation Technoelasta, it must be tried on in place and adjusted to size. The material is rolled out over the surface, all excess is removed with a knife, then carefully rolled back into a roll.

When installing waterproofing material Technoelast, it is necessary to check the base for moisture. It should not exceed 4% by weight.

After preparing the surface, fusing the material begins. The material is laid by fusing with a propane torch, after the bitumen primer has dried.

The roll, after trying it on, slowly unrolling the roll, melt the bottom side, gradually rolling it out. The next roll must be laid at the joint with the adjacent one (at least 300mm), providing a continuous waterproofing membrane.

Also, do not forget that if you choose Technoelast as foundation waterproofing, then, before viscous reinforcement and subsequent pouring of the foundation slab, Necessarily it is necessary to arrange a protective screed. This measure is necessary to avoid rupture of the laid waterproofing, with various possible risks of mechanical damage.

conclusions

As can be seen from the above laying technologies MAXSIL SUPER® And Technoelast EPP, we can definitely make a choice in favor of the first one if we set ourselves the task of waterproofing the foundation.

This conclusion is based on several factors at once, namely:

  • There are no particular difficulties in preparing the surface ( not required sealing cracks; not required application of primers);
  • There are no special difficulties with the work technology (it’s enough just to spill the dry mixture MAXSIL SUPER® onto a moistened preparatory screed to enhance penetration into the surface body);
  • No weather dependency ( MAXSIL SUPER® can be laid in the rain, because... it is a cement-based material; Technoelast EPP being a weldable material, it is simply afraid of precipitation);
  • No dependence on surface humidity (For application MAXSIL SUPER®, complete maturation of the concrete is not required, while the material to be deposited cannot be placed on a wet surface);
  • Cements are better “friends” with each other ( MAXSIL SUPER® cement material with special additives, therefore, strict requirements for the foundation No);
  • And finally, economic benefit (even if you roughly estimate the list of work performed using MAXSIL SUPER® and with the help Technoelast EPP, then it will become obvious that due to the simplicity of waterproofing with cement materials, it will be much more profitable).

Approximate cost of work and materials MAXSIL SUPER® ranges from 600 RUR/m2.

Approximate cost of work and materials for waterproofing the foundation with material Technoelast EPP ranges from 800 RUR/m2(the whole pie).

Technoelast– SBS-modified* rolled roofing and waterproofing material of increased reliability.

Technoelast fabric consists of a synthetic non-woven base (polyester or fiberglass) with a bitumen-polymer binder containing a polymer modifier applied to it on both sides.

Purpose. Installation of waterproofing membrane of concrete and reinforced concrete foundations (foundation, basement, tunnels, garage) and waterproofing flat roof to protect against negative impact moisture.

Waterproofing Technoelast retains its consumer properties when used in conditions of a wide range of temperature fluctuations and withstands high mechanical loads.

The use of this roofing and waterproofing material will allow you to form a reliable, bio-resistant and durable waterproofing carpet with large supply strength.

The inclusion of polymer additives in the production of rolled waterproofing materials increases their flexibility and heat resistance, protects the bitumen coating layer from aging, destruction and roof leaks.

On roll materials, produced using polymer additives, the protective coating holds much better, which gives additional protection to the waterproofing carpet from overheating and the destructive effects of UV rays during the operation of the flat roof.

Therefore, roofing waterproofing carpet based on bitumen-polymer materials has a significantly longer service life than materials based on oxidized bitumen.

Logo printed on protective film, on inside The roll web is used as an additional indicator indicating the sufficient degree of heating of the coating bitumen.

Roofing material Technoelast can be used in all climatic zones of Russia.

Depending on the scope of application of the rolled waterproofing material, two main types of Technoelast have been developed:

  1. Technoelast P– used as the bottom layer of roofing carpet and waterproofing of building structures. The upper and lower (surfaced) layers of the fabric are covered with a polymer film that prevents it from sticking together when stored in a roll. TO this species refers to: technoelast HPP, technoelast EPP.
  2. Technoelast K– used for installing the top layer of waterproofing roofing carpet. The outer side of the roll web is covered with a protective coating to protect the cover layer from the negative effects of various atmospheric phenomena and exposure to UV rays. Internal – protective film. This type includes: technoelast TKP, technoelast EKP.
