Do-it-yourself gas burners for natural gas. Do-it-yourself burner for flame soldering. Homemade burner options

For people actively working in the workshop or in country house often there is a need to heat the part or to solder. These tasks will be solved by a high-temperature gas burner, which you can make yourself. With its help, you can heat parts for subsequent processing or welding, harden parts, carry out roof repairs. This list could be continued.

All these tasks can be solved with a gas burner. Such devices include devices that provide mixing, preheating, supply of the required volume of gas and oxygen. It creates conditions to ensure the required combustion rate of the resulting mixture and create required temperature heating.

There are a large number of such devices on the market, from specialized professional ones (for heating boilers, and welding work), to universal household propane burners.

Gas burners made in industrial scale, are considered solely from the point of view of reliability and safety during operation. However, very often, according to the criterion "efficiency - cost", gas burners industrial production can't stand any criticism. In addition, you can purchase the product of dubious quality or made in friendly China.

Having considered in detail the design options for such burners, an unambiguous conclusion suggests itself. In these gas units there is nothing complicated. Therefore, many are trying to make such a device at home. It turns out a convenient and cheap gas burner with your own hands.

Burner classification

The device of a gas burner is quite simple. Modern gas burners are divided as follows:

  • premix. The formation of a gas mixture occurs immediately before entering the outlet.
  • injection burners. The air necessary for combustion is spontaneously sucked in (as they say, injected) by the gas jet itself.
  • Recuperative. The essence of their work lies in the preliminary heating of gas and air. This happens before mixing. The heating itself is carried out by a special device - a recuperator.
  • Regenerative. Preheating in burners of this type is carried out in the regenerator.
  • Pressurized (gas burners with pressurization). In them, air is forced into the furnace by a special fan. This happens after mixing the combustible mixture.
  • Diffusion. By design, these are the most simple burners. They consist of a regular tube with holes drilled in it. Gas is supplied through these holes. To ensure constant and reliable combustion, the necessary air comes from the environment.
  • Gas atmospheric burners for boilers. The principle of their operation is very similar to the principle injection burners. The main difference is that oxygen enrichment is not carried out completely, but partially.
  • Gas burners for stoves, fireplaces, heating systems.

The power of any gas burner is determined by the volume of gas consumed per unit of time. At different burners it can differ quite significantly.

Burner design

A standard homemade burner functions in this way. Under pressure, gas is supplied from a cylinder through a special hose. The most commonly used gas is propane. The volume of supplied gas is changed by a regulating working valve located on the cylinder. Therefore, the installation of an additional reduction gear is not required.

The shut-off valve is located behind the main valve and is attached to the gas cylinder. It is used to open or close the gas supply. All other adjustments (length and intensity of the flame) of the burner itself are carried out using the so-called working tap. The supply gas hose, through which gas is supplied, is connected to a special nozzle. It ends with a nipple. It allows you to set the size (length) and intensity (speed) of the flame. The nipple together with the tube is placed in a special insert (metal cup). It is in it that the creation of a combustible mixture occurs, that is, the enrichment of propane with oxygen atmospheric air. The created combustible mixture under pressure enters through the nozzle into the combustion area. To ensure a continuous combustion process, special holes are structurally provided in the nozzle. They perform the function of additional ventilation.

The design of such gas appliances is developed taking into account ease of use, prevention, and repair. Therefore, they must be easily collapsible. This simplifies the maintenance and repair process.

Based on such a standard scheme, you can develop your own design. It will consist of the following elements:

  • body (usually it is made of metal);
  • a gearbox that is mounted on a cylinder (a ready-made device is used);
  • nozzles (made independently);
  • fuel supply regulator (optional);
  • head (the shape is selected based on the tasks to be solved).

The body of the burner is made in the form of a glass. The material used is ordinary steel. This form allows for reliable protection from possible blowing out of the working flame. The handle is attached to the body. It can be made from different material. The most important thing is that it provides convenience during work. Previous experience shows that the most optimal length of such a handle is in the range of 70 to 80 centimeters.

A wooden holder is attached to the top. A gas supply hose is placed in its body. This allows you to give the structure a certain strength. Flame length can be adjusted in two ways. With the help of a reducer located on the gas cylinder and a valve mounted on the tube. Ignition of the gas mixture is carried out thanks to a special nozzle.

Production of a gas burner

Starting to independently manufacture the device, it is necessary to prepare tools for work and select the required material. First of all, choose the material for the handle. There are no strict requirements, so everyone can use their imagination and possibilities. The main requirements for the handle are: its ease of use, so that it does not overheat during operation. Experience shows that it is advisable to use a ready-made handle. For example, a handle from some failed soldering iron, boiler or other household appliance.

Steel is used to make the supply tube. Choose a steel tube with a diameter of not more than 1 cm and a wall thickness of 2.5 mm. The made felling is inserted into the prepared handle. There it must be securely fastened. The mounting method is selected in accordance with its capabilities.

The burner body is made of steel. The divider is made of brass rod. Several holes are drilled in the divider body (usually more than four). This will create good oxygen circulation at the burner outlet.

After that, the divider is securely fixed in the body. A small clearance should be provided for the inner flange. The recommended clearance should be approximately 5mm. Such a gap will provide the necessary deceleration of the gas flow rate that enters the igniter. Slowing down will allow more reliable ignition of the burner.

The nozzle is made from a metal rod. It will provide gas supply to the combustion area. It is made in the following way. With a drill with a diameter of 2 mm, a blind hole is carefully made in the nozzle body. Then drill a hole with a 4mm drill bit. It is necessary to create a jumper. They are carefully riveted and polished.

The end of the manufactured tube is connected to the outlet of the reducer. A flexible hose is used for connection. The material is selected from the list of permitted materials for household gas systems. It can be a special rubber or a special fabric material. To ensure reliability and fire safety it is better to use certified material. The hose is put on the tube and secured with a standard clamp.

After completing the assembly of the entire device, you need to set optimum pressure in a balloon. Before lighting the burner, the entire gas supply system, mixing with air, should be carefully checked for possible leaks. If they appear, they must be eliminated. Only after all checks can the burner be ignited. The burner must provide a burning jet length of up to 50 mm.

Properly self-assembled burner will last reliable assistant in long term business. It will be the tool that will help solve many everyday problems without resorting to the use of an expensive tool.

Hello everyone, today we will make a Bunsen gas burner from improvised means! It will not be just a stationary burner, but a burner that, if necessary, you can safely hold in your hands and not be afraid to get burned. It will not be difficult to make it, all the materials used must be at hand, and its scope is quite wide.

The author often uses in his works gas stove, but working with it is not very convenient and therefore he was visited by the idea to purchase something less bulky and convenient. Having rummaged around on Aliexpress, as well as visiting specialized stores, he found a lot of burners, but as it usually happens, the price did not suit him and therefore he decided to assemble such a burner himself, all the more necessary details were at hand.

There was an old and cheap Chinese burner, which faithfully served him for several years. It has a suitable gas supply regulator and it sits cylinders that are sold in every hardware, construction or fishing store.

It will be needed for adjustment. So, let's begin! First you need to unscrew the standard burner, put on a silicone long hose of a suitable size instead of it and put it aside for now. By the way, if necessary, you can screw the standard burner back if necessary!

For the manufacture of a new burner, the author used tubes from an air conditioner with an inner diameter of 8 and 5 mm. You can take any copper tube. First you need to cut off a piece of a tube with a diameter of 8 mm, 10 cm long and clean it from the resulting jagged, on the inside and outside.

Now you need to saw off a piece of thin tube about 4 centimeters.

To make a nozzle, you need to cut off a piece of a medical needle.

When biting off the needle, the edge can be crushed, so it needs to be cleaned with a file, and then cleaned with a thin wire.

The end of the thick tube must be crushed with pliers so that the needle fits tightly there.

Further, the author used phosphoric acid. With its help, he processed a crushed piece of tube with a needle and soldered a thick copper wire and soldered a gap in the tube.

He then soldered the second piece of tube as shown in the photo below. The author recommends rinsing acid treatment areas with water to wash off excess and prevent oxidation of the copper tube and needle.

Now you can immediately check the burner, for this you need to connect the postponed silicone hose, which the author connected to the Chinese burner at the beginning and connect the other end to the new burner.

The author's first burner test was not particularly successful, it ignited poorly and went out almost immediately. Then he noticed that if you cover the lower part of the burner with your fingers and reduce the oxygen supply, then the flame is quite well regulated.

So you need an adjustment! For this, the author took the M8 bolt, something like the one in the photo below.

I straightened the wire that holds the two parts of the burner so that the needle rests against the wall of the thick tube. Then I drilled a hole for the bolt with a 7 drill, at the very beginning of the thick tube. In order for the hole to turn out normal, the author recommends first drilling with a thin drill, and then drilling with a thick one. Then he took a tap and cut a thread for an M8 bolt.

With a bolt, the flame does not go out and the air supply can be regulated.

In order to make the adjustment more reliable and so that the copper thread does not quickly slip off, the author recommends strengthening it with a metal nut. Best fit rectangular shape as in the photo below.

To do this, you need to take a file and clean all the soldering points.

Next, you need to attach the nut to the place of soldering, fix it, for this you need to screw the bolt first into the nut, and then into the thread on the tube and solder it well from all sides. Do not forget to treat all surfaces to be soldered with soldering acid!

Here's what he ended up with.

Due to the fact that the bolt cannot be fully screwed in, the needle will never be pinched or damaged!

It turned out quite nice and comfortable burner, you can safely hold it in your hands and work.

When the gas passes through the tube, it cools it, and the flame practically does not touch the burner, therefore copper tube Doesn't get hot enough to burn your hand. With such a burner it is convenient to warm the lock in the garage in winter, since in minus temperature gas cylinders usually do not work, then you can put the cylinder under your jacket in heat, and work with a burner even in severe -50.

In order not to keep the burner constantly in his hands, the author decided to make a stand for it. To do this, you need to make two loops of wire on the burner. Loops need to be done by eye, something like in the photo below. Be careful when soldering them, as all connections can simply fall apart from overheating!

After the loops are soldered, file all the protruding parts of the wire to give the burners a more beautiful view.

Now you need to make a tripod for the burner. To do this, the author took a piece of thick plywood and drilled a hole from the edge with a thin drill. In this hole he inserted a piece of thick copper wire. The burner is mounted on a tripod with the help of soldered loops, it does not fall off it and keeps well enough.

The burner assembly works as it should, with the bolt screwed in, it acts as a candle and gives a flame of low temperature. And if you open the air supply, the flame becomes pure blue and gives a higher temperature.

Try making a simple, lightweight and portable aluminum can burner. This project costs almost nothing, cooking on such a burner takes 15 minutes. This is a really simple version of the burner. Other versions are more complicated, but this one is good, despite the simplicity. The top and bottom halves are made from two different cans inserted into each other. All together gives a light, small and strong burner. The article details how to make parts and assemble a burner from them. You will also learn how to prepare and light the burner.

Steps

    Gather all the necessary materials.

Make the bottom of the burner. Mark the jar at a distance of 3.5 cm from the bottom of the first jar, cut along the markup. If you are having trouble with marking, you can evenly put a rubber band on the jar and mark it along the rubber band. Cut with one of the tools from the list at the bottom of the page.

Make nozzles on the top jar:

    • Remove the key from the jar so that it does not dangle.
    • Turn the jar upside down before cutting.
    • Mark about 16-24 holes along the edge of the bottom (use your fingers or a ruler to make sure the distances are the same). If the needle with which you will make holes is small, make more holes. If the needle is large, make smaller holes.
    • Take the power button and make holes according to the markup. If the strength of the hands is not enough, take a hammer, and light punch holes. Hold the hammer close to the striker, strike lightly and accurately, holding the power button large and index finger under her head. Try not to hit your fingers. By holding the button under the head, you will protect your fingers. Make holes as small as possible. If the holes are large, too much fuel will evaporate, and a good flame will not work. This is the most difficult part of the burner, try to make holes right size, at equal distances.
    • In order for the burner to heat up evenly, the holes must be of the same diameter and shape.
  1. Make a hole for fuel. There are two approaches:

    • First: making a hole for the size of the screw in the middle of the upper part. Take a short, thick screw that will act as a fuel cap. Make sure the screw is firmly seated in the hole so that fuel does not spill or evaporate.
    • Second: making holes in the center in the shape of a flower. Make one small (no bigger than a nozzle) hole in the center, and six around at equal distances from each other. Since these holes are small, the fuel will drip to the bottom instead of pouring out. This method is easier if you don't have the right screw, but the burner will fuel more slowly.
  2. Cut off the top of the burner. After making the holes, cut off the top piece from the whole can. Mark the cut line at a distance of 2.5 cm from the bottom, cut in the same way as the previous jar.

Make cuts. Now you need to make vertical cuts so that the cans can be inserted into each other. Make vertical cuts on the top half, not reaching the bottom. Try to have six cuts, evenly spaced (you can make a few extra cuts if the jars don't fit together well). Before cutting, you can use a hole punch in the middle of each cut so that the jar does not tear when connected.

Fill the bottom with filler that will absorb the fuel, such as perlite or vermiculite. You can even use sand. Perlite is a volcanic rock found in many parts of the world. It can be bought at garden stores. The filler is needed for uniform fuel consumption.

Collect the burner. After filling the bottom, connect the halves together. Set the burner to flat surface- on a table, or a flat surface of the earth. Take the top part, and firmly but gently insert it into the bottom, the halves should fit snugly into each other; shake the filler to make the top go in easier. You can use a strip of aluminum to make the half easier to insert. The upper part is now inserted into the lower one, the burner is ready for refueling.

Prepare the burner for use. There must be no flammable materials near the burner. Find a piece of land with no vegetation, or put a burner on a plate. Fire up the burner. Not all combustible liquids are suitable for the burner (see section "Tips"):

    • Fuel hole on the screw - unscrew the screw. Slowly pour fuel, allowing it to drain into the opening. Fill the burner 1/4-1/2. Insert the screw into place.
    • Several small holes - pour fuel into the recess, filling the burner 1/4-1/2. Because fuel will drip to the bottom through small holes, this method is slower.
  3. Prepare ignition. Pour some fuel into the recess and even onto the nozzles.

Ignite the burner; Ignite the fuel in the upper recess of the burner. You can set it on fire with a match, lighter or candle, slowly move the flame around the exit nozzles. Now the fuel will evaporate due to heating.

Get ready. Put the cooking utensils on the rack and cook. You can make your own stand (see "Tips" section), or buy a stand from a store. The fuel should last for 15 minutes, but the burning time depends on operating conditions and other factors. Experiment with burn times before you start cooking.

  • Make half a dozen burners instead of just one. Try making the holes smaller at other distances as well. To check, boil half a liter of water, and not just light the burner. Measure the time taken to boil and the total burning time. Try the most effective option. An awl can make holes different diameter, depending on the depth to which you will pierce the jar.
  • From small jars of cold coffee or ice tea, you can make a very miniature burner that fits in a mug. Taking the burner out of the mug, you can always boil yourself a cup of tea or morning cocoa! Small burners hold less fuel, so they are not suitable for cooking.
  • If there is no power button, you can make holes with a needle or even sharpened wire.
  • Remove the burrs after cutting the halves so you don't scratch them later.
  • As fuel you can use: ethanol 96% of any variety.
  • You can make a second row of nozzles with inside grooves for more even heating.
  • If the burner is not catching the flame, tilt the burner carefully so that the fuel gets to the edges. Try lighting again, do not remove the lighter or match until the flame flares up.
  • You can grind the beauty burner. Sanding cans should be done before cutting so as not to flatten them.
  • Ignition: The burner must be "prepared" (especially in cold weather). Part of the fuel is filled into the burner, a little fuel must be poured directly into the recess immediately before ignition. Once ignited, the heat from the fire will vaporize the fuel.
  • If you don't have a stand, you can make your own. You can bend the stand from a steel hanger or thick wire. The shape can be any, the main thing is that the stand is stable.
  • This burner is good for hikers as it is lightweight and doesn't take up much space.
  • The disadvantage of this burner is the need for protection from the wind. You can make a convenient 3-in-1 multi-purpose stand/wind protector/case out of a coffee can. Cut the jar so that it is 1.75 cm longer than the burner. Make some triangular holes with a bottle opener around the bottom (not on the bottom). Store the burner in this jar with a plastic lid.
  • If you don't have a hammer, you can use a stone instead. Or insert a needle into a drill. The needle perfectly and accurately drills the material of the can, without indentation.

Warnings

  • If you make the nozzles too big, the fuel will not burn properly. Good flame must be blue color, it is almost invisible during the day. If the flame is yellow or orange, you made the holes too big.
  • Since the flame is almost invisible, accidental spillage of fuel can start a fire. Handle the burner and fuel with care, use the burner away from flammable substances. Do not light the burner near peat deposits or near dry grass.
  • Do not bring your hand too close to the burner when igniting. If you need to handle the burner, let it cool down.
  • Suitable for fuel only ethanol. Any other fuel (gasoline, kerosene, etc.) can cause an explosion! Isopropyl alcohol is also not suitable for use.
  • Ask for help from adults or a teacher if you are a child or are not confident in your abilities and skills. Try not to cut yourself, make sure that the knife or scissors do not slip off the jar.
  • Handle fire carefully so as not to burn yourself.
  • The edges of the cans can be sharp after cutting, take precautions.
  • Follow safety precautions when you make holes.

What will you need

  • 2 aluminum cans; banks must be in good condition, without dents
  • Power button (with plastic head)
  • Small hammer - optional
  • Sharp knife, cutter or scissors
  • Quarter cup of perlite
  • For the stand: wire hanger (pre-remove the paint with sandpaper)
  • Fuel (ethyl alcohol 96% of any grade)
  • Sealed container for fuel. Can be purchased at the tourist shop. Label the container clearly and unambiguously. Denatured alcohol contains methanol, which is deadly when inhaled and swallowed. Do not use a container that looks like a water container, so as not to be confused in the dark.

For repairs and other roofing works, implying the melting of mastics and laying roofing materials you will need a special gas burner. The device is mainly used for the following tasks:

— heating and drying of roofing materials;

— cutting and soldering of metal;

— firing a layer of old paint.

Approximate structure of a gas burner

The gas burner has enough simple design. It is a glass made of metal and equipped with a nozzle and a handle, which is fixed on the body. . For the manufacture of the handle, heat-resistant plastic or wood can be used. The gas enters the housing by passing through the gas pipeline. In most cases, propane under pressure is used to operate the burner.

The burner cup must be shaped to protect the flame from wind blowing.

The burner body has a valve that allows you to adjust the length of the flame and the intensity of the supplied gas. It is good if the burner has a gearbox that allows you to save gas.

Components of a roof burner

In the process of assembling the device, mechanical processing is practically not used. The burner is assembled from ready-made spare parts. For its manufacture we need:

  1. Steel valve, which can be taken from a cylinder designed to store liquefied gas.
  2. A cap that is used to transport gas cylinders.
  3. jet from blowtorch with a nozzle diameter of 0.8 mm.
  4. A piece of pipe one meter long with an internal diameter of 10 mm. and steel thickness 2 mm.
  5. Wooden handle.

As a handle, you can use the handle from a burned-out soldering iron.

Step-by-step burner manufacturing process

The process of manufacturing a gas burner begins with the fact that the inlet pipe, which we will use as steel pipe, we insert into the handle and fix with glue. The divider and the body must be machined from a brass bar, the diameter of which should be 20 mm. In the finished case, two radial holes are drilled (each with a diameter of 5 mm.) And four holes in the divider rod (each with a diameter of 1 mm.).

When assembling, it is necessary to press the divider into the body with a slight interference fit. At the same time, the flange is installed inside the housing with a clearance, that is, the inner diameter of the manufactured housing must be 0.6 mm larger. bored diameter. The resulting gap is responsible for the deceleration of the gas flow, which is supplied to drilled holes in the igniter.

Such nozzles are in purchased models.

To make a thin hole in our nozzle, you need to take a drill with a diameter of 2 mm. and use it to make a blind hole, which is 1.5 mm. does not reach the exit. Drill with a diameter of 0.4 mm. used for jumper. The resulting hole must be completely minted with gentle hammer blows. Then you need to sharpen the end. To do this, we take sanding paper and grind it until the desired cross section of the outlet is found, that is, until the nozzle can be put on the tip of the threaded burner tube.

At the end of the gas supply pipe, it is necessary to put on a supply hose made of fabric-rubber material. We fix the hose on the tube with a clamp. We set the working pressure, after which we supply gas. Wait until all the air is forced out of the hose, and only then bring the nozzle into the flame of a gas burner.

Petrol burners quite often help out anglers. They can be divided into 3 main types:

  • Gasoline or other types of liquid fuels.
  • Working on gas.
  • Multifuel.

The last type of burners is designed to work on various types fuel. It just so happened that gasoline devices appeared a little earlier than gas ones. Despite the fact that a sufficient amount of time has already passed since the advent of gas burners, gasoline burners are still used in our time.

Moreover, they are not just being used, but are being used more and more intensively. The thing is that each type of burner has a number of both advantages and disadvantages. At certain conditions gasoline burners show top scores and high efficiency. This article aims to acquaint readers with the advantages petrol burners.

The design features of the burners depend on what type of fuel is used. For example:

  • There are burners that run exclusively on gasoline and no other fuel.
  • There are designs that, in addition to gasoline, also use kerosene.
  • The operation of any type of burner requires a special device capable of maintaining pressure on a constant basis. In connection with this factor, these devices are classified according to this method.
  • There are designs in which there is no pump, and other devices are equipped with a pump.
  • Burners are also classified according to the way the fuel tank is attached.
  • Some types of burners are designed so that the fuel container is separate from the burner and fuel is supplied to the burner through a hose. There are burners where the fuel tank and the burner form a single structure.

Do you need a gas burner for fishing?

  • Very interest Ask, since the gasoline burner has a certain weight and takes up some useful space. When a fishing trip is carried out, each kilogram is counted excess weight. Many, going fishing in the summer, do without gasoline burners, because you can light a fire without any problems. But not everyone is always lucky and there are situations when it is impossible to light a fire, especially in bad weather. If the wooden branches are very wet, then without additional efforts and devices they will not light up. The presence of a gasoline burner will help to light a fire without much difficulty, even if the branches are wet. In addition, you can heat a kettle of water or cook food on a gasoline burner.
  • There is another situation when fishing is carried out until dark and no one wants to kindle a fire because of fatigue. In this case, it is easier to use the burner to cook dinner faster, albeit late.
  • When the weather is cold and wet for a long time, a gasoline burner will always help out and you won’t have to think about how to cook tea or food.

Buy or make a gasoline burner with your own hands

The easiest option is to purchase the device in a store, especially since the manufacturer offers various models. It is very difficult to determine which of the developments is the most suitable due to the design features.

Some models are too heavy, which does not allow them to be taken with you, especially if there is no transport. In the presence of transport, such a factor is of no fundamental importance.

Industrial designs are different high price, and for them normal operation only high quality gasoline is required.

As for homemade gas burners, there are also several options for their manufacture. For self-manufacturing already used parts from gasoline burners will go. After assembly, a high-quality and efficient, and most importantly, workable device is obtained. This approach is within the power of anyone, even an inexperienced angler. The gasoline burner works on the principle of mixing gasoline vapors and air flow. The burner is designed in such a way that this combustible mixture is constantly supplied to the combustion area, which supports the combustion process. At the same time, for some reason, lower grades of gasoline also burn in home-made burners, compared to industrial developments.

DIY gasoline burner

Self-manufacturing various accessories fishing has its advantages. The most important thing is that each of the masters receives as a result the apparatus that he needs. At the same time, each of them uses its own spare parts for manufacturing, which correspond to a certain manufacturing method.

Method one

  • To make the first burner, you need two cans, which are usually discarded. To use them for their intended purpose, they are cleaned of dirt and thoroughly washed, and then dried.
  • One of the cans is taken and 4 holes are punched in its bottom with a nail. The same holes are made on the side of the can around the entire perimeter.
  • The side of the jar is cut off at a distance of 3 cm from the bottom. The result is the upper part of the burner.
  • The second bank is taken and also cut around the entire circumference to the same height.
  • The second part of the can will serve as the bottom of the future burner. A fleece is placed on the bottom of the can, after which the lower part of the burner is covered with the upper one.
  • Gasoline is poured from above through punched holes. As a result, gasoline is retained by cotton wool, and only vapors ignite. The burner can be ignited.
  • The device of such a burner is quite simple. Unfortunately, it is also disposable, because after application, you can not count on using it a second time.

Method two

The second design is more complex, but it is also more practical, since it is not disposable.

What is needed for this:

  • The burner itself will have to be bought at the store.
  • A car chamber is suitable as a compressor. Unfortunately, it needs to be filled with air from time to time to maintain the pressure at the right level.
  • A 2-liter canister is suitable as a fuel tank, in the lid of which 2 holes are made where the tubes are inserted. One of them should reach the bottom of the canister, and the second - up to half.
  • For the receiver, a transparent plastic container is suitable, which can be tightly closed with a lid. The volume of the receiver is 10 liters.

Assembly steps:

  • Gasoline is poured into the fuel tank, somewhere half way.
  • It is desirable to install a filter of the simplest design at the compressor inlet. To do this, use a plastic funnel, on which a nylon stocking should be pulled.

How does such a device work?

The air from the compressor is supplied to the receiver, which smooths out the uneven pressure. After that, it enters the tank with gasoline, as a result, a combustible mixture of air and gasoline vapors is already displaced from the tank. This mixture falls on the burner, it remains only to set it on fire.

Method three

For such a product, you will need a flat metal jar, pumice stone and not a large amount of gasoline.

How to assemble the product

  • In a metal jar, pumice is packed quite tightly, almost completely.
  • After that, it should be soaked in gasoline. This is done very carefully so that gasoline does not spill. The burner is finished. Such a burner can give heat for 15 minutes. On it you can cook a modest dinner or heat a tent in extreme conditions.

Clogging Prevention

  • During operation, a gasoline burner can become clogged, so it is better to use high-quality gasoline with a high octane rating.
  • If you use special additives for gasoline, you can solve the problem of clogging burners. Similar additives are used in injection engines.
  • To prevent the burner from failing at the most inopportune moment, it is better to clean it after use.

What is the difference between a gas burner and a gas burner?

  • The gasoline burner uses fuel that can be purchased at any gas station. As for gas, you still need to look for a gas station where gas cylinders are filled. Therefore, we can conclude that gasoline is much more affordable than gas.
  • As gas is produced in a gas burner, the quality of its work deteriorates, which cannot be said about a gasoline burner.
  • Far from civilization, although by accident, you can get some gasoline, but gas is unlikely to be found.
  • Petrol burners are lightweight and compact. They can be placed in a backpack and taken with you on a hike.

Work in extreme conditions

In conditions of rarefied air, a gasoline burner will never fail, but a gas burner will either burn poorly or not burn at all.

How to choose the right gas burner in the store

Choosing a burner in a store is not an easy task, especially in an environment where there is a choice. The main thing is to determine in advance the criteria by which the burner will be selected, depending on the expected conditions for its operation. What you need to pay attention to:

  • It is better to choose the model that has a detachable connection that separates the pump from the burner. This will make it easier to clean the pump if needed.
  • The instructions should indicate how quickly 1 liter of water can be boiled under standard conditions.
  • It should also indicate how much fuel it takes to boil the same 1 liter of water or indicate the fuel consumption per unit of time.
  • If weight is of fundamental importance, then these data should also be paid attention to. If you have transportation, it doesn't matter.
