Geysers are flowing household different firms. How to choose the right gas column considering all the parameters

Probably everyone knows widespread since ancient times, the expression: "my house is my fortress." You can, of course, put the most different meanings into it. But if you look from a household point of view, from the standpoint of a caring and economical owner, then this can be perceived as a desire for the maximum possible autonomization, independence from utilities with their unpredictable quirks in the form of changes in the conditions for the provision of services, tariff increases, interruptions in supply, preventive maintenance, repairs, accidents, etc.

It is no secret that not only the owners of private houses, but also the owners of apartments in high-rise buildings have recently been increasingly installing their own, independent systems home heating and hot water supply. About heating boilers - in a separate publication, and this article will be devoted to questions of how to choose a geyser, so as not to experience problems with providing for your household hot water.

But before the speech will go about the problems, in fact, the choice of these devices, you need, at least briefly, to get acquainted with their basic device. This is necessary, first of all, in order to try to dispel a number of fairly common prejudices that have been formed in the collective consciousness regarding the speakers for a long time, settled there firmly and are very difficult to “neutralize”.

Gas column device and its advantages

In order not to make mistakes with the choice of such a heating device, it is necessary to at least approximately understand its device. Although the range of modern gas water heaters is quite large, uniform principles and principles are applied in their work. internal structure, and functionality.

The diagram shows an approximate structure of a typical modern flow-through gas heater. Of course, specific models from different manufacturers may have their own characteristics, but only in matters of layout or ease of use.

1 - a fume hood closed with metal walls, a volume from which the products of gas combustion are removed in one way or another. It can be completely sealed or connected to the atmosphere (in conventional, chimney or chimney columns).

2 - copper heat exchanger. Pipe system with a "jacket" that perceives the direct impact of the flame of gas burners. It is here that the running water is heated.

3 - ignition sensor. Gives a control signal to open the common gas solenoid valve only if the pilot wick is working.

4 - ignition wick. There may be a different principle of action - this will be discussed below.

5 - gas burner, more precisely, several lines of gas burners, providing0 their uniform heating of water in the heat exchanger.

6 - water assembly, which includes, among other things, a cold water main connection fitting (pos. 9), a screw water flow regulator (pos. 9, not for all models), and a drain valve (pos. 10, also optional, not on all columns).

Water valve - "frog"

The main element of the water node is always the so-called "frog".

In fact, it is a working cylinder, the volume of which is divided into two parts by means of an elastic membrane.

Both halves of the "frog" are interconnected by a fitting of a certain diameter. The point is that when water is opened through the column, due to the pressure difference in the two parts of this “frog”, the membrane bends upward and pushes the stem, which is connected to the spring-loaded gas valve, opening it. As soon as the water flow is stopped (the tap is closed), the pressure under the membrane drops, the valve returns to its original position, and the gas burner, accordingly, immediately goes out.

11 - in this diagram - a node with microswitches (optional).

12 - gas block with a gas hose connection fitting (pos. 13). It is here that a spring-loaded gas valve is located, connected by a rod (rod) to the water unit.

14 - in this column - the electronics unit that controls the operation of the water heater. In inexpensive simple speakers, it may simply be absent. Pos. 8 - compartment for batteries (batteries) required to generate an ignition pulse on the igniter.

15 - fitting for connecting to the parsing line hot water.

16 - a mechanical regulator that switches operating modes, controls the levels of water flow and gas supply. In modern speakers, it can be completely replaced by an electronics unit, with the transmission of control signals through push-button or touch panels management.

17 and 18 - a cascade of column operation sensors. The specific "filling" may be different - this will be mentioned later in the article.

As already mentioned, any model may have its own distinctive features , but the basic principle of structure remains the same early on.

The scheme for connecting the column to the water pipes, regardless of its model, is the same for everyone - it is shown in the figure.

So, when you open the water at the hot water tap, water from the cold main begins to flow through the column. The pressure of the water flow opens the gas supply valve, which causes the burners to ignite (about the ignition mechanism - a little lower). The energy of the burning gas is converted into water heating - and water of the required temperature flows from the "hot" taps on the mixers.

This is one of the main advantages of the geyser - it works only at the moment when hot water is required, the rest of the time being in "standby mode" or off. The owners of the house (apartment) use hot water only when necessary, and at the same time they do not depend on the work of the boiler houses.

The second main advantage is, of course, operating costs. So far, no other energy carriers can equal the cost of natural gas.

Of course, there are also disadvantages to the column, and considerable ones.

  • It will not be possible to install it on your own - it requires coordination with the relevant organizations, drafting and approval of projects (unless, of course, the house was previously equipped with such water heaters).
  • The operation of the column, even in its most modern version, still requires all residents to comply with certain safety rules.
  • A supply of heated water is not created, unlike an electric or gas boiler.
  • The initial installation of the column may be associated with very large-scale work to ensure the removal of combustion products or to create forced ventilation.

It should be noted that the designers of gas water heaters managed to solve most of the "old problems" of gas instantaneous water heaters. Nevertheless, some kind of prejudice among a certain number of people towards them remained. Therefore, in the next section of the article, we will try to take a closer look at modern speakers in the light of persistent myths about their danger or inconvenience.

Video: general arrangement of a typical gas water heater

Modern geysers - is it worth it to be afraid?

An interesting feature of gas water heaters is that, wittingly or unwittingly, they can even change demand, and therefore prices, in the secondary housing market. Realtors will not let you lie - very often one of the main issues in the initial consideration of proposals is the connection of the house to the centralized hot water supply and, accordingly, the presence or absence of gas water heaters.

It is characteristic that there is no unity of views on this issue. Of course, people who have been exhausted since childhood by old Soviet columns, with their whims, noise, unsightly appearance, with constant “pressure” from elders about strict rules for use and the danger of violating them, do not want to hear about buying an apartment with gas water heaters .

However, there is also the opposite category - people who are already familiar with the inconsistency of public utilities, with inflated tariffs and payment by hot water meters, (moreover, in order to wait for the first drops of hot water, it is often necessary to spill at least 3 ÷ 5 minutes of cold water, since the circuits circulation during many high-rise houses are simply cut off). And such experienced clients, on the contrary, will be more satisfied with housing with a column. However, many prefer to combine both options - this is the most reasonable approach.

What are the main "myths" about geysers continue to live, scaring off potential buyers of such equipment?

1. The column is very difficult to manage, requires self-ignition with matches and constant monitoring.

Let's figure it out.

Well, firstly, any technique requires control, regardless of complexity. No one blames this on a gas stove with its open flame, or a bathroom faucet, which also needs to be monitored so that it does not leak over time.

Secondly, ignition with matches can only be found on those very “rarities” of the Soviet installation. Perhaps they are still produced somewhere, however, without exception, all modern, noteworthy models are fired up differently.

- The simplest, "imperfect" modern speakers are equipped with piezo ignition. Before use, it is necessary to light the wick-igniter by pressing the appropriate button, while turning the control knob to the appropriate position. Even such a scheme is considered already “obsolete”, it is used less and less and gives way to other principles of ignition.

- Electric ignition is popular. At the moment of starting the water, a sensor is activated, which gives a signal to the electric igniter. At the same time, a channel for limited gas supply to the torch opens and a spark is generated to ignite it. The energy for sparking comes either from the installed batteries (usually 1.5 or 3 volts), or from the mains.

— Another modern method is the HydroPower system. In the supply pipe cold water a hydraulic impeller is built into the column. At a certain liquid pressure (usually - about 0.3 - 0, 5 bar) the impeller induces an electrical charge sufficient to generate a spark for ignition of the torch-igniter, which then transfer the fire to a common gas burner.

All this is read for a long time - but in fact, the process of automatic ignition of the flame when the water is started takes place within just a few seconds.

So, in modern columns, there is no special human intervention (other than the preliminary opening gas cock) is not required: turn on hot water - and use it.

By the way, you can immediately give an answer to a possible overgrowth - why do you need an ignition burner (torch) at all, is it really impossible to immediately ignite the main one?

It is forbidden! Until the torch warms up the sensor, the gas release solenoid valve will not work. That very small amount that is taken at the time of launching the wick does not pose any danger to people - it will easily go into the ventilation. But if suddenly the column accidentally goes out, the sensor has cooled down, then the gas supply will be blocked - the electromagnetic valve will close the line completely.

2. It is widely believed that the column is a very explosive device.

What could explode there? If we are talking about gas, then it is no more dangerous in this regard than an ordinary gas stove. In the same way, provided that there is no leakage, ventilation is normal, there is nowhere for an explosive concentration of gas to come from.

If we talk about the likelihood of an explosion of an overheated volume of water, then the boiler in this regard is probably even more dangerous. In the column, with its flowing principle of operation, there are much fewer such conditions for an explosion. Moreover, in any (even the oldest and most imperfect) there are always at least two lines of "defense", about which at same mentioned: a solenoid valve that will not allow self-ignition of the burner, and a water “frog” valve that shuts off the gas in the absence of water flow.

3. Something similar to the second point of fear: there may not be an explosion, but a gas leak will lead to poisoning and a sad outcome.

You can refute it by citing all the same arguments that are set out in the two paragraphs above. And we can only add once again: the degrees of protection of the usual gas stove- much less, and the likelihood of leaking gas into living quarters with a stove or oven is much higher. Nevertheless, they are more afraid in this regard, for some reason, of gas water heaters, although this is completely illogical.

4. Another very persistent, but completely incomprehensible prejudice - they say, the geyser will completely ruin the interior of the kitchen.

Probably, only those who can’t “erase” in their imagination the image of an old, rusty ancient column with metal pipes going to it can say this.

Blaming modern gas water heaters for being unaesthetic is the same as making similar complaints about refrigerators, microwave ovens, hoods, ovens, etc. Gas water heaters fit perfectly into the kitchen environment, take up very little space, and, at times, give themselves away against the general interior background only by the presence of a chimney. (and even then - not always).

What another thing to consider when choosing a column

So, we come to a common opinion: there is no need to be afraid of gas water heaters, they should become reliable and safe assistants in household. So, you should take a closer look at the criteria that should be considered when choosing this device in the showroom.

Geyser power

Under this parameter lies the ability of a geyser to heat a certain amount of water per unit of time to the required temperature. In general, the whole variety of these devices can be divided into three classes:

Geysers low power. The rating does not exceed 19 kW, and is able to serve such a water heater only one point of consumption at a time.

Medium power speakers include devices with a rating of 20 to 28 kW. Usually they are already enough for the simultaneous intake of heated water in two places.

The most powerful are geysers that “give out” 29 kW or more. Their performance is enough even to take a bath in one place. with simultaneous such as washing dishes in the kitchen, or with simultaneous the use of hot water in three places is quite enough for any "everyday" situation, even in a considerable country mansion.

They may object that kilowatts, although they are indicated in the product passport and on the information plate on the case, still say little to the average user. It is difficult to object to this, so we will try to explain this meaning more intelligibly.

The main purpose of the column is to raise the water temperature from the initial value ( TV) to the level required for domestic use ( Tn). The difference between these two values (delta) will show what our water heater is capable of.

ΔT \u003d Tn - Tvh

By itself, the "delta" is uninteresting - you need to know how much water the column can heat for such a difference per unit of time. (usually measured in liters per minute).

How to determine the required power?

It can be taken as a statement that for the normal functioning of the kitchen sink, about 4 liters of heated water per minute are required. For taking a shower - usually 6 liters are enough. (These values have been verified by practice, and, by the way, they are guided by when developing special economizer devices in the form of aerators or special fittings, which, even if desired, do not allow the use of larger volumes, thereby helping to save water).

The calculation of the power of the desired water heater can be carried out according to the formula:

M = ΔT × Σv/14.3

M is the required power,

ΔT- the amount of heating (see above)

Σ v– total volume of simultaneous consumption;

14,3 - coefficient taking into account the heat capacity of water.

Let's say that a column is selected that allows the simultaneous use of a shower and a sink in the kitchen. The total volume will be Σ v= 4 + 6 = 10 l/min.

Value ΔT- depends, of course, on the temperature of the water at the inlet. If we assume that water comes from a water supply system with a temperature of about 10 - 15 ° WITH, then a rise of 25 degrees should be quite acceptable - the output will be about 40 ° WITH, which is enough for taking a shower and washing dishes.

In total we get:

M = 25 × 10 / 14.3 = 17.4 kW

It is clear that this value is the lower acceptable limit. It is recommended to add another 15 - 20% of the reserve to it, and then round it up to integer values. We get 21 kW. The purchased column must have such power. Of course, all models of water heaters have their own gradations, capacities, but you need to buy one so that the value is not lower.

Perhaps this may seem too complicated. In addition, the initial temperature value may be different, for example, in winter time water can have about 5 degrees at the inlet. In order not to force readers to "torment" with formulas, it is better to give a table in which the power of the column will be linked to the inlet temperature and to the overall performance of the device, provided that it delivers water to the mixer at 40 ° WITH:

The temperature of tap water at the inlet to the columnThe amount of water heated up to +40 ° C, depending on the power of the column (liters per minute)
up to 3 kW6 kW8 kW12 kW15 kW18 kW21 kW24 kW27 kW
5 °C1,3 2,75 3,6 5,5 6,75 8,25 9,4 10,75 12
10 °C1,5 3,1 4,2 6,1 7,75 9,25 10,75 12,3 13.75
15 °C1,75 3,6 4,75 7,25 9,0 10,75 12,75 14,3 16.2
18 °С2,1 4,3 5,75 5,5 10,7 12,9 15,0 17,25 19.25

Usually both power and ΔT are the basic values of the water heater and must be indicated in the technical documentation.

And the most accurate calculation using the same formula will allow you to carry out the proposed online calculator.

Using them is easy.

  • First, the temperature that they plan to receive at the outlet of their column is indicated. At the discretion of the future owner, 40 degrees is enough for someone, but maybe someone wants to be cooler or, conversely, hotter.
  • The next step is to indicate the temperature of the water supplied to the column. Here you can proceed either from the existing circumstances. For example, from some sources - wells, wells, storage tanks, water is supplied, regardless of the season, always with approximately the same temperature. And you can also calculate for the most unfavorable conditions, when the water is so cold in winter that it is not far from the freezing line.
  • Further, it is necessary to indicate (tick) those hot water outlets that, according to the owners, can be used simultaneously without interfering with one another. Of course, if you supply water at once to all plumbing fixtures, then such a powerful device, perhaps, cannot be found.

But it's all decided in home environment, so to speak, by administrative methods. Yes, and it is difficult to imagine a situation when one family member, for example, washes dishes in the kitchen, the second at the same time is in the shower, the third is taking a bath, etc. And the calculator, by the way, will just help to fully imagine what can be used at the same time.

  • All other values - the average consumption at points of consumption and the heat capacity of water - are already included in the calculation program.
  • It remains only to press the button "CALCULATE ..." - and the answer will be given, expressed in kilowatts of the required thermal power of the column. In addition to the calculated value, another one will be shown - taking into account the 15% power reserve, since “driving” the water heater at the limit of its operational capabilities is far from the best solution.

Number of "degrees of protection"

We already briefly talked about the presence of safety levels, but we can once again mention the necessary and desirable degrees of protection and control over the operation of the device:

  • A water flow sensor (most often an ordinary “frog”): it will not allow the gas valve to open if the main condition for the operation of the device, flow, is not met.
  • Thermal combustion sensor connected by a contact wire to a solenoid valve. When cooling (attenuation of the wick), it causes a complete shutdown of the gas supply to the column.
  • The ionization combustion sensor is different in principle of operation, but similar in purpose to the one described above.
  • Chimney draft sensor. It will give a command to stop the gas supply if, for some reason, the draft in the chimney is absent or reduced to dangerous limits. This will prevent the concentration of combustion products in the room in quantities hazardous to human health.
  • Water level sensor. It will not allow the igniter to work if the pressure in the water supply is weak. By the way, at this point you need to pay attention - if there are frequent pressure surges in the water supply network, then you need to select a column with the appropriate level of "sensitivity".
  • The water overheating sensor - there is far from it in all columns, but the option is very useful - it will not allow boiling water to scald, and there will be much less scale in the pipes.
  • Temperature sensors at the inlet and outlet - are only in modern, "fancy" columns, in which the heating level is controlled and adjusted, as they say "online".
  • A protective emergency pressure relief valve - if for some reason any level of protection did not work (which is very unlikely), the valve will not allow critical pressure to form in the heat exchanger.

Column control

The vast majority of modern columns of the middle price category has two control elements - the adjustment of the passing water pressure and the amount of gas entering the burner (burning intensity). This is usually quite enough to optimally adjust the water heater to the desired operating mode.

A typical "set" of modern column controls

Some models have an additional "winter-summer" switch for more economical operation, taking into account the fact that in summer the inlet water temperature is higher, and the comfort heating threshold can be lowered to a certain extent.

How additional option, a digital thermometer can be placed on the panel, on which it is often possible to insert the maximum heating temperature - for the corresponding sensor.

More convenient to use, but, of course, and much more expensive in cost, geysers with integrated, automatic tuning power indicators of the water heater. A special electronic unit evaluates the flow rate, water and gas pressure, the presets entered, and maintains all the parameters of the column in such a way that the outlet is always water at the same temperature exactly set by the user.

Combustion chamber and chimney

Very important point- type of combustion chamber and system for removing gas combustion products. So, the combustion chamber can be open and closed.

  • At open chamber combustion products are discharged into the upper part of the column body, with their further entry into the chimney channel. Such a scheme is inexpensive, but it will be convenient only in a private house, since such a column will require a chimney, and it is almost impossible to build it according to all the rules in a high-rise building.

Another type of columns with an open chamber is low-power, up to 10 kW water heaters, in which combustion products are generally thrown out simply into the kitchen. It would seem convenient, but here's why then these columns, to put it mildly, "do not praise." They are not fail-safe , Although and have certain degrees of protection, but still do not differ in high reliability.

Low-power chimney speakers - more problems than good ...

In a number of regions of Russia, they are either simply prohibited for installation, or they are specially presented to the premises. increased requirements- minimum volumes of the kitchen, vents and electric fans in them, forced triple ventilation, the presence of a gas analyzer, etc. In a word, it is still better to refuse such a “neighborhood”, although the price for such speakers is low. By the way, serious manufacturers do not deal with such products - almost all such speakers, despite their completely Russian names, come from neighboring China.

Some speakers of this type have an additional protective option - a built-in work timer. So, in order to prevent a dangerous concentration of combustion products in the room, the operation of the water heater is limited, for example, to 15 minutes - after this time, the gas supply is simply interrupted.

  • In the conditions of an apartment, columns with a sealed closed combustion chamber become the best option. Both the air supply and the removal of combustion products in them are forced, using built-in fans. Usually used for this coaxial chimney which combines both functions. Often, columns come on sale complete with a coaxial chimney pipe of the required length.

Such a chimney can also be placed in a high-rise apartment, bringing it outside through the wall. Of course, in this case, the possibility of placing the pipe should also be assessed - there are certain limitations in this regard. In order for the reader to “estimate” in advance the admissibility of such a solution to the issue in his specific conditions, you can give a diagram and an accompanying table with acceptable parameters:

Speaker manufacturers

And this is also very important aspect choice. Alas, it is no secret that a lot of counterfeit, obvious fakes or copies of very poor quality have appeared in this area of \u200b\u200bproduction. Often, frankly low-quality products lie behind flowery names. Even the possibility of acquiring such a column is not ruled out, for which the "go-ahead" for installation in the relevant authorities will not be received.

The best option is to check in advance with the local gas industry if they have any restrictions or, on the contrary, recommendations on the purchase of water heaters. Very often, such organizations also operate their own salons-shops, which will immediately put the purchased speaker on the warranty and service maintenance.

If the purchase is made independently, then you should never purchase second-hand equipment, which would no matter how tempting the offer was, and how would the seller did not convince that the column worked for only a month, and is in excellent condition. Only new, only with a passport corresponding to the serial number of the product, and only with a mark on the place and date of sale!

Video: geyser "Electrolux Nano Plus»

If we talk about specific manufacturers, then water heaters "Beretta" (Italy), "Vaillant" or "Bosch" (Germany), "Electrolux" and "Ariston" of the European assembly enjoy unconditional authority. It's impossible not to say kind words and to domestic manufacturer- in terms of “functionality”, Russian gas water heaters “Neva” no longer lag behind foreign counterparts, and in terms of quality they are trying to get close to world standards.

Video: sharing me niami about the gas column "Neva-Lux 6014"

The geyser, for today, is one of the most available, effective and economic water heaters. Modern market gas heating equipment offers a wide range of models from various manufacturers, differing in the type of ignition, power, performance, efficiency, etc. Which manufacturers' columns are highly efficient and safe, and how to choose a gas water heater - read below.

To compare several models of gas water heaters that suit your cost, you need to understand their main performance characteristics. So, the most important characteristic that determines the choice of a column is its power. The level of comfort that a water heater can provide depends on it. So, if you plan to use a shower, sink, sink, etc. separately from each other, then a gas column with a capacity of 17-18 kW will be enough for you. For the joint use of two or more points of water intake, it is better to choose equipment designed for a power of 20-26 kW. Not the last role in the choice of a gas water heater is played by the efficiency that the equipment is able to provide.

The efficiency for a modern gas water heater should be in the range of 84-90%.

Columns with flame modulation can provide the greatest comfort. Such devices maintain the water temperature automatically, regardless of external factors. That is, when using the sink and shower together, the water temperature will remain unchanged.

When choosing a domestic gas water heater, you must:

  • Determine the planned volume of water consumed;
  • Measure the pressure of the gas and coolant in the pipeline (the column must meet the requirements of the system);
  • Measure the ventilation draft (if necessary, clean the ventilation duct);
  • Consider ways to organize a chimney (applies to private houses);
  • Select the size of the device, based on the parameters of the place allotted for its installation. In this case, SNIPs and GOSTs should be used.

So, from the side surfaces of the column to interior partitions must be at least 15 cm, and from the front surface of the casing to the wall - at least 60 cm. Pay attention to the speaker manufacturer. Which manufacturers are distinguished by high-quality products?

Geysers: reliability and quality rating, manufacturers

The most high-quality and reliable, according to reviews of both specialists and users, is considered German-made gas equipment. In Germany, for today, there are enough hard rules checking products for compliance with international norms and quality standards, which has a positive effect on performance characteristics gas equipment. In addition, such companies do not skimp on conducting various test drives of their equipment.

  1. Gas equipment from Vaillant is in first place in the ranking. All columns of the company are equipped with a modulating burner.
  2. The second place was taken by the products of the popular company Bosch. German burners received recognition due to high-quality automation, an integrated security system, comfortable operation (most models can be configured to suit your own needs and system parameters).
  3. Imported gas water heaters from Ariston rightfully took the third place in the ranking. Italian water heaters are different affordable prices, high performance and high quality materials, have a long service life.
  4. Popular and cheap water heaters from Neva are characterized by high performance. Among the shortcomings of columns from a Russian manufacturer, they highlight the need for frequent replacement of their batteries, the appearance of fistulas in heat exchangers in regions with hard water.
  5. Chinese geysers Termaxi took the last place in the ranking. The advantage of the devices is their availability and the availability of models with flame modulation.

Electrolux products are distinguished by a high level of reliability. But, in the event of failure of column parts, their replacement can hit your pocket hard: original parts in Russia are not cheap.

Rating of gas water heaters for a private house and a summer residence

The choice of gas water heaters for a country house and a summer residence has its own characteristics related to the quality of the water and gas supply. So, it is better to choose columns that operate at a minimum pressure of water and on liquefied gas (then access to fuel will not depend on connection to the main gas pipeline).

The best gas water heaters for a private house and a summer residence are:

  • Gas water heater W 10 KB from Bosch, which can be operated both from main gas pipeline, and on liquefied gas;
  • Gas column WR 13-2B from Bosch, which can run on liquefied gas in cylinders even at a low water pressure of 0.1 bar.

Suitable for providing hot water and heating in a country house and a gas appliance for water heating W 10-2 P from Bosch, which starts even at low water pressure. You can use the most popular devices proposed above for an apartment located on high floors (the pressure on them usually leaves much to be desired).

The best geysers at an affordable cost

It is not necessary to spend a lot of money on gas water heating equipment. The modern market offers quality models at democratic prices. So, you can get a high-quality gas column with a budget of 10 thousand rubles.

The most high-quality geysers in the budget segment are:

  • Gas water heater WR 10-2P from Bosch. For 9 thousand rubles, the user will receive a reliable water heater with piezo ignition and protection against overheating.
  • The gas water heater Neva 4510-M with a digital display and a multi-level ignition system will cost only 7 thousand rubles. At 25 degrees, the column will be able to provide a flow of 11 liters of water per minute. Wherein, thermal power will be equal to 21 kW.
  • Column flow type GWH 265 ERN from Electrolux with electric ignition and digital display. The device costs 6.6 thousand rubles. For this small cost, the user can get up to 10 liters of warm water per minute.
  • Gas flow column GWH 10 Fonte from Zanussi is not only affordable, but also economical. In terms of quality, the model is not inferior to the popular Bosch and Ariston speakers.

The most popular, reliable and affordable geyser domestic production- this is Neva 4511. The column is equipped with automatic ignition, sensors for controlling overheating, draft, gas supply. The gas heater works even when minimum pressure in the pipeline. Columns Termaxi (China) have low cost.

Classification and rating of gas water heaters for reliability and quality (video)

A gas water heater is a popular device today that allows you to organize a heating system and hot water supply both in an apartment and a country house. A good geyser is a guarantee of safety, comfort and efficiency. Recommendations for choosing and the above review of the highest quality and reliable instantaneous water heaters will help you choose a worthy option according to your needs.

The entire life cycle, from handwashing to cleaning dirty dishes, tied to the supply of hot liquid. How to choose a geyser and what criteria should be followed when making a purchase? This question is of interest to many people who want to provide their home with hot water. Plus, this equipment is considered the most economical and it can simultaneously serve two or three water intake points. Let's figure out which manufacturers are better and what to look for when you come to the store.

Features of this equipment

Choosing a geyser is a responsible process, so you first need to figure out why this equipment is widely used in both homes and apartments? To do this, we name the main advantages of the columns:

  • ease of operation;
  • aesthetic appearance;
  • durability, safety of use;

compared to storage equipment (boilers), geysers have acceptable dimensions and are not inferior to them in performance. Current technologies allow you to create reliable, maximum efficient devices, characterized by uninterrupted operation.

Without quality technical equipment modern life is unthinkable, because people are accustomed to comfort and want to enjoy the benefits of life to the fullest. For this reason, people do not want to depend on the public service and install a gas water heater in the apartment. There is also the fact of saving energy costs, because the equipment in question "absorbs" less money than electric water heaters.

The geyser is mounted at an accessible height in accordance with the installation instructions - each model has its own

What criteria to pay attention to?

Which gas column to choose? So that our readers, faced with this problem, do the right purchase, in this article we will try to give the most relevant and comprehensive information.

So what should you pay attention to?

First aspect- power. The overall performance of the system depends on this important parameter, because we are talking about a certain amount of water that the device can heat per unit of time. In this regard, gas water heaters are of three types: with low (17-19 kilowatts), medium (22-24 kilowatts), high (28-31 kilowatts) power. The choice of a particular model depends on such factors:

  • individual needs of the user;
  • number of water intake points. For example, if you plan to consume at several points, you need to give preference to higher power and good performance.

Second aspect- type of ignition. Gone are the days when the geyser was lit with matches, because today it is advanced equipment: you just need to open the tap and the device will work. Automatic ignition is the most reliable and this statement is supported by significant arguments. The bottom line is that a spark is created using a turbine or batteries, and the wick is ignited only with direct consumption of water.

As for piezo ignition, this method is quite common, but somewhat inconvenient. Why? Because ignition is carried out by pressing a button, that is, if the column is located in hard to reach place, it is difficult to get this button. In addition, after ignition, the wick continues to burn, consuming gas.

Third aspect– burner type. When answering the question of how to choose the right gas water heater, one cannot fail to mention this criterion. A constant power burner requires manual adjustment. Everyone understands that there is no convenience here, since the water pressure in the system is constantly changing. But a burner with modulating power is much more practical: it adjusts to the pressure of the water flow, ensuring a stable temperature.

Fourth aspect- safety. The best geyser has a three-level security system and automatically locks when the flame goes out, if there is no draft, or if reverse draft occurs. It is also desirable that the equipment be equipped with a hydraulic safety valve that protects the device from overheating.

Fifth aspect- removal of combustion products. In principle, geysers are divided into turbocharged and chimney. In the first case, the equipment throws combustion products out into the street, and in the second, the column is connected to the chimney.

Sixth aspect- manufacturer. This is a vast topic, so we will consider it in more detail and present to your attention a kind of rating of gas water heaters.

Rating of the most famous manufacturers

Yes, the market assortment is very diverse, so deciding which gas water heater is better is not so simple. For this reason, we want to list the manufacturers whose products are the most in demand:

  • Ariston- the devices of this manufacturer occupy the middle ground, because for quite reasonable money, buyers can purchase a decent Italian quality. Ariston gas instantaneous water heaters are characterized by high efficiency and are equipped with the function of maintaining the set temperature. The main components of the equipment are made of composite material, which guarantees a long service life and resistance to corrosion;
  • Termaxi– geysers are made in China, but they are famous for good quality. Their competitive advantage the presence of a modulating burner is considered. Also in the line of columns there is a model that gives 12 liters of hot water per minute - this means that three sources of water intake can be connected to the equipment;
  • Vaillant- there is no doubt about the high quality of equipment from a German manufacturer, since gas water heaters are characterized by reliability and unpretentiousness. They give users a minimum of problems and last a very long time, because they are equipped with a durable copper heat exchanger.
  • Beretta– flowing water heaters of Italian production have exclusively positive reviews from consumers. Why? The reason is clear: ease of use, beautiful appearance, high quality accessories, a wide range. For example, in model range there are devices with electric ignition and with flame modulation.

We really hope that after reading our article, you will be able to purchase the best gas water heaters for an apartment, house, which will best meet your needs and wishes.

Here is the check :)
We changed the column about 3 years ago, chose for a long time and came to the conclusion that you need to buy in specialized offices, and not in stores with household appliances. Bought - "Gas water heater BOSCH WR 13G", manufacturer JUNKERS Bosch Gruppe Germany. It cost then 10,200 rubles, but there were cheaper ones, depending on the functions. This one is ignited under the pressure of water, and there are some in which the wick burns all the time, like on our old columns.
The master who installed it said that it was the best choice among household ones :) Maybe, of course, he says so to everyone, but so far we are satisfied.

Quote: I think that many forum regulars have centralized hot water supply and for them the topic of a gas water heater is very far away ... Many in old houses during repairs replaced "columns" with storage-type boilers.

We have been using the Valiant column for 10 years, at that time it was the best choice. Last year, they changed some part (it burns out over time), there was a question about replacing the column itself, but the master advised all the same to replace the part, because. will last another 5-6 years. Although at the moment there are some good analogues, unfortunately, I don’t remember the names of the companies that are engaged in the production of water heaters. In any case, Valiant is a great technique, compared to Bosch, Electrolux and others that our neighbors have, we do not know any trouble.

I’ll also write about my Vaillant (I looked at how it’s spelled correctly) - this part, which we changed 9 years after the purchase, is a heat exchanger, one of the weak points of all speakers, and so it still lasts for Vaillant for quite a long time compared to others, because it is made of some kind of super-copper alloy. Replacing a heat exchanger is quite expensive, last year it cost about 10-11 thousand. Yes, and our neighbors, who have Electrolux and Bosch, periodically clean them, that is, they call specialists for this. We also decided to call (well, why are we worse!), The master came, looked - there was nothing to clean. I don’t know what it depends on more, on the column or something else (maybe the neighbors are constantly washing).

I bought AEG GWH 11 ERN 4 years ago at first it worked without failures, everything was very pleasing! At one point, the water pressure disappeared at the outlet and, as a result, the flame of the main burner stopped igniting! Bottom line: either buying a new gearbox (I’ll immediately notice that self-repair did not lead to anything, only spending money) from the official service costs 2/3 of the cost, or a new gas column (rather the second, but not from this manufacturer). By the way, as it turned out, this the breakdown did not occur to me alone, only the Electrolux brand (which owns AEG)!
Conclusion: if you are ready to pay every four years for a new gas water heater, then the choice is good due to the low price.
